Waitlist in June? 1 day unavailable at Jambo

Need some opinions- I am taking my 14 year old niece to Disney June 12-17th and currently the Deluxe Studio is available at Jambo for all the days except Monday the 13th. Kidani is available for the entire trip but we were just out there in December and stayed at Kidani and I would really prefer Jambo this trip due to the location of the QS.

Should I book Jambo June 12th (Sunday) and then the 14th-17th (Tuesday - Friday) and wait list Monday the 13th, hoping it becomes available? What is the likelihood it will? My husband is suggesting I split - Kidani for the 12th and 13th and Jambo the 14-17th. I'm nervous about wait listing as if it doesn't come thru, we will have to move twice. Thoughts? Thanks!

I agree with your husband and book Kidani the 12/13 and then Jambo the rest and then waitlist the 12/13 at Jambo. That way you only have to move once if nothing came through.

Ok, maybe I need a new thread for this but what in the world is up with that Monday June 13th? After searching the threads, I realized OKW is the only resort with 2 queen beds in the Studio. Just jumped onto the DVC page to reserve a room near the Hospitality House and - same thing!! Available for the entire trip except Monday, June 13th. At least the regular studio category at OKW is available for the entire trip.

There is nothing of moment going on that Monday. What both you and the OP (who is seeking standard view at Jambo since savanna view is open for that date) are seeing is a common occurrence. As rooms get close to filling for a time period, as the Jambo standard and OKW studio in the Hospitality House booking category likely are for that mid-June period which is now getting to 5 months out, you will often see one day close out before the others around it. Likely the days around June 13 are also close to full for the same room categories but June 13 is just seeing the same number checking in that day in comparison to checking out and days around it still have a little more checking out than checking in for those room categories..
