Waitlist Hope?

I see phase I of the Poly is opening in April! I am
on the wait list for BWV in Oct and was curious.....realistically....do you think that may cause people to switch their reservations from BWV to Poly? Trying to figure out if I want to fork out an extra $378 for a preferred room. Sigh.

I have actually been wondering the same thing. When a new resort opens, does it significantly free up availability at other resorts? We have a May reservation that I would like to switch, so that I do not have to add a cash night.

I wouldn't expect anything to free up. The first few months are reserved for people who purchase Poly, and those same new owners get a head start in booking for the rest of the year. I wouldn't expect existing members to purchase an add-on and change an upcoming reservation, so I don't think it will affect availability anywhere anytime soon.

Well that's NOT what I wanted to hear! we are going as a family, my brother is at BWV so we are trying to stay in same resort hotel. Plus I love the convenience of BWV location! We are going Oct 18-24....anyone booked those dates want to alter their week so my name will come up on the list?! lol

There are almost always Pool/Garden villas available when the 7 month window opens.

FWIW, I think there will be members who will want to try to switch to the Poly when the Poly windows open for non-owners. I'll be among them (but our BWV trip is not scheduled for your dates).

Everyone keeps mentioning that 7 month window....but if BWV studios are already booked, how would that 7 month window help? Not sure I understand

maybe some of the BWV owners are crossing their fingers to be able to switch to VGF, PVB, BLT or something at the 7 month window...(?)

This is what I was inquiring about in my earlier post. Members will likely be able to book soon as the opening is less than 3 months away.

It may not. I'm actually surprised that some of the nights you need are already sold out for all three booking categories for studios. Both BCV & BWV sill have 1 bedrooms available, though.

Usually, some people do change resorts at 7 months - although because F&W is very popular, there may not be as many as we would normally expect.

But people's plans change all the time, so you never know.

Only the standard studios are booked. That was the price point we wanted to stay at, ideally. That is what I am hoping will open up for my family and my parents.

i think only 20% of the resort is standard, so that might be a tough one. and most of those value-minded BWV owners definitely won't be looking to switch to the poly...

I have to agree - and when I checked a few minutes ago, there were some nights in your range that were not available for a studio in all three categories.
