Waitlist Help

Okay, I've tried searching the forum but can't find an answer. We have a 4 day, 3 night stay planned for F&W. I booked the first two nights at BCV because my options were to either book the two nights or waitlist the entire three. I then booked the third night at BWV, and went back to waitlist the third night at BCV.

Now, I realize this may not come through, and with such a short trip, shouldn't be too much hassle to switch resorts for one night. If, however, it does, I would like the waitlisted night to become the third night on my existing two night reservation at BCV, and not have to check out and check back in. Is this an incorrect assumption on my part?

You shouldn't have to check in and check out again. After the waitlist comes through just call member services and tell them to "link" the reservations. They will become one reservation and you should be all set. The only requirement to doing this is that the two reservations must be identical (Resort, room type).

Provided the BCV waitlisted unit is of the same room size/type as the two nights already booked -- the resulting reservation will become a single reservation of 3 nights in the same unit.

If you specified on the waitlist screen to cancel the BWV unit on successful match of the BCV unit, you'll be all set. A successful match should:
* lock in the 3rd night in the BCV
* cancel the reservation at BWV
* apply the points from the BWV reservation to the new BCV reservation
* create a new reservation at BCV for all three nights in same unit.

At least, that is how it as worked recently for me with two different waitlists at VGC. Good luck!
