Waitlist Friday or Saturday??

Hi we are staying at AKL Tuesday to Tuesday, We have decided we want to transfer to the BCV . When would you request the waitlist? Friday or Saturday ? When do you think my best chances are of getting the waitlist for which day?

I would think that both days have about the same chances.

Are you just going for one night? Or, are you going to split stay and start either Friday or Saturday?

Shorter wait lists fill easier than longer because in order for one to fill, all nights need to be available.

So, wait listing Saturday to Tuesday is one day shorter than Friday to Tuesday.

Another option is to try to get what you working backwards using the online system and then wait list one night at a time until you get what you want...

Thank you for the responses. We are arriving Nov 25 and leaving Dec 2. I have a full stay at AKV 2bdrm , but after staying there this weekend I really want to split my stay to the BCV. So I have put our name on the waitlist Friday to Tuesday (checkout). People are saying to call everyday.(?)

You are looking at trying to adjust a reservation with short notice for Thanksgiving weekend. Most of the time a non-home resort that is popular and near the parks like Beach Club would not be available at 7 months. If you are willing to stay for just a night or 2 you might be able to pick up 1 day in there (most likely Sunday or Monday night)but in all likelihood waitlisting now you will be at the bottom of a long list and not get it through waitlisting. If you want a chance of a night or 2 and are willing to move back and forth you can stalk the website for availability and get the days and then modify your other trip but you would need extra points not to lose all of your trip.
