Waitlist for November

Has anybody had any luck with a waitlist coming through in November? With all the extra points we have my in-laws are looking to go in November and I will end up renting the remaining. But I will have to commit the points for the waitlist, is that a correct assumption? Oh what to do...........if I could get a solid answer from my DW on going things would be much easier.

I would say not too good, especially if you wanted the holiday week. I've been waiting for over a month with several combinations.

we are hoping for something at AKV or any where for November 22 and leaving the 27th. Need a 1 or 2 br. We have been on the waitlist since April.

I got a studio at VWL for November 21-24. Not even a waitlist - called MS and it was available - very suprised!

That's awesome! I have a waitlist for my parents for a studio 11/16 to 11/21, they're at OKW and SSR is open...but would prefer another resort for them.

My waitlist came through for Nov 25. I was already booked in 2br from 22-24 but wanted one more night. This is Thanksgiving week. We are checking out on that Wednesday. With the economy the way it is going...Gas, Airlines etc I would bet that more waitlists will come through!! Pixie Dust to you

we frequently go that week and our waitlist has always come through. hopefully, you'll have the same experience, but I am sure it depends on what kind of accommodations you want and where you want them.

I received my waitlist already for this year nov.11th-19th. It didn't take long at all a few days I think.
But last year I booked BWV in July 07 for Nov. 07 the dates were for Oct 31st-Nov.15th.
I was on the waitlist up to the day I checked in. I received all my days but 1 Nov.8th. I had to move to OKW for 1 night.

So my point is you do have a chance. It took me a while but I got it{well except one day} waitlist for one day at a time, that will help you get it quicker. In my opinion. here's some pixie dust in hoping you get it.

I have been waitlisted for a month for studio at OKW for Nov. 2-7 - have SSR for Nov. 3-7, but wanted to add a night so by switching to OKW I don't need to get extra points. So far I've been told twice that Nov. 3 and 6 aren't available yet, so fingers are crossed! If I can't get it, we'll just pay cash somewhere for the first night and then enjoy SSR for the rest of the time.

I have been waitlisted since 9 AM at 7 months for a 2 BR PV at BWV for 11/26 and 11/27. I was also WL for 11/24 and 25 but those days came through in about a week. I have a back-up reservation. I think my chances are slim for the WL coming through as it is the Wed and Thurs of Thanksgiving week. Based on some of these posts, it does sound hopeful for guests looking earlier in Nov, especially depending on location. Good Luck To All!

My first adults only 3 day F&W and I am waitlisted for BWV for the 2nd nite....no room at BCV, either - and wondering if I should plan to pay cash....

We're hoping for a waitlist to come thru for a 2BR on Wed 11/26 and Thurs 11/27. We have the rest of the trip (11/22-12/1) covered at OKW and took 2 nights on cash at WVL for a 2BR. I don't have much hope that the 2BR waitlist will come through unless there are tons of cancellations.

Two years ago we did not get our waitlist and moved to YC. But we got bumped up to the concierge level - so it was a lot of fun.

And just like two years ago, we didn't plan to go to WDW this year before the 11th or even the 7th mo window for either of our home resorts. We got an email about the Old Spice Classic at WDW that our alma mater is playing in this year and suddenly my DH wants to go. I could not believe his timing. We missed the 7mo window by like 48 hours.

Oh well, it'll stil be a great trip - just like last time. And with advice from a kind CSR, I dropped our first two nights to a studio (only one child with us then) to conserve points so we could waitlist for everything else. If it doesn't work then we'll have a beautiful expensive 2BR at VWL or we can take a couple of cheaper rooms elsewhere on site.

Well, if my WL comes through for BWV, I will be giving up my OKW 2 BR ressies for the two nights you need. You could be the next party on the WL and get our villa!

We are waitlisted for any studio for Nov 26th & 27th. Been on the list for about one month. Our boys marching band is in the parade at MK on Turkey day. We haven't told them we are going, can't wait to see their faces when we suddenly appear that day. We have a cash reservation at POFQ just in case.

I just returned home from Williamsburg and discovered that my waitlist came through for Nov 8 -12. I was waitlisted for a studio at OKW.

Saw decent airfare to MCO from Seattle the first weekend of Nov. We also have about 80 points without a plan to use them. Had been keeping an eye on the Interval short stay site, but nothing within driving distance from Seattle (not surprised, not a lot of choices). So talked DW into exploring a trip to WDW for food and wine, taking the redeye and arriving Saturday 11/1 and leaving Wednesday 11/5. We thought we'd do either a studio or 1BR. Nothing available anywhere, with the exception of Sat night at a few resorts. So got on the waitlist at SSR for both studio and 1BR for Sat through Tuesday nights.

Did not purchase the airfare. We'll see if the waitlst comes through and then we'll see if there is a good fare. We can use miles to buy down the price of the ticket by 50%, which means even if the fare goes up I'll still book it. Just DW and myself, so hoping it works out.

We're waitlisted from the 7 month mark at BWV or BC for a 2 bedroom for 11/8-11/14. Even willing to split the stay, but as I rented these points (before I became a DVC member at BWV this month) I didn't have the option of booking at 11 months out. Hope it comes through!
