waitlist for new point purchase from DVC

I am current on waitlist for OKW AND BCV POINTS
I will then decide what I want to do, if the waitlist comes thru

does anyone know, how long it could take
up to 1 year?

does anyone know, can you have exactly what you want

I want 84 points for BCV august use year
and 225 points for OKW AUGUST use year

does it have the same flexibility of my original purchase of BCV or is it like any resale. I ahve to take what contract, withwhat points are in that contract, at that moment

I'm considering putting myself on the waitlist, as well.

I'm pretty sure they will call you and say, "We have xx number of points available at BCV - how many would you like to purchase."

At least - that's what I've seen described on the board. DVD is not held to reselling the contracts "as a whole" - like the resellers - they take all the points they take back in from the numerous contracts and put them back into the pot.

This is all my understanding - it could be totally wrong... Hope it helps...

Disney can resell what it buys with no restrictions. The rest of us must sell a complete contract. Add-ons are spearate contracts, even though they have same use year and similar contract numbers. As such they can be sold separately in resale market. Some advise breaking large point purchases into smaller 150 - 250 point contracts to give you greater flexibility.

If I were looking for an OKW contract, I would use the resale market. There are plenty of contracts and probably one that meets your needs for a lot less than buying thorugh Disney. Although you are on your own for financing and that is an important consideration for some.
