Waitlist for missing night

Just want to make sure I did this right. I need 4 nights but the 4th night is not available in the same view room. So I booked the first 3 night in one view (in this case, Savannah at Kidani) and the 4th night standard view. I waitlisted the 4th night Kidani Savannah to replace the 4th night standard view.

I think I did that correctly and if so, if the waitlist comes through, will DVC automatically merge by the first reservation of 3 nights and the second reservation of 1 night so we don't have to switch rooms for the last night? thanks.

Sounds right to me. The merge won’t happen automatically - but a phone call or chat with member services will make this one reservation. I had to do this too.

I've had it happen both ways. One waitlist came thru and the DVC CM merged the reservations under one number. Then during the COVID shutdown, a different waitlist came thru and the reservations were not merged and I had to call.

if they don’t for some reason you could always ask a cast member at check in and then they won’t assign that to
to someone else , we had that happen at riviera last summer.[/QUOTE]

Weve waitlisted a lot during COVID and none haven been auto-merged. Looking forward to that coming back!
