Waitlist for December!

Just tried to book the first 11 nights in December at AKV and have had to waitlist for 4 of them!! Hoping that they do come through.

What room type are you booking? If it's a Savanna View your wait list chances are probably pretty good since they should be adding more inventory as they declare more units into AKV. If it's one of the others (Value, Standard View or Concierge) it will be more difficult since someone will have to cancel for your wait list to come through.

Went for Savanna view studio as I know the majority of rooms will be SV.

Good plan!! There are 2 dedicated studios and 11 2BR lockoffs still to be declared in Jambo House so potentially as many as 13 studios could become available between now and your travel dates. If the rumors about part of Kidani opening by the end of this year come true, there will be even more rooms opening up. When I looked at the construction last week it looked like the first phase will be primarily savanna view rooms.

It'll come through for you, no worries!!

A lot of changes are done between now and October with December reservations. Those who booked at AKL at 11 months hoping to switch to another resort at 7 months might be waitlisted, and when their waitlist comes through at another resort and cancel their 11 mo ressie at AKL, it will free it up for you. It's a domino effect.

They are going to auto book it for you when it becomes available, right?
