Waitlist came thru

We set up a waitlist for this month. For a quick last minute trip. I saw poly was available lake view for 26 points but I really didn’t want to use that many points. Dang I was even being picky.
I didn’t even have a room for the last night.

Today I got the email OKW welcomed us home. For the last night and the night prior

Someone just got grand Floridian from us, but just one night.

Hoping for the first night to come thru yet. But if it doesn’t. We’re are at SSR. I asked to be by the pool.
It is calling for snow here Monday.boo hiss.

I even found DH had Hilton points so I used them for Monday.

That's great! I was once able to get a waitlist for a 1 bedroom concierge at AKV and I couldn't believe it. I had just happened to find one night and booked it, then waitlisted the second night and it came through the next week or so.

We needed to add on a day to our May trip due to flights changing. We’re going with my parents, both booked at AKV Jambo. They’re in a club level studio, we are booked in a value studio. I had no hope in hell to add on there so I had us at SSR. Stalking the site, I saw a value studio pop up for that date so I booked in and put in a waitlist for the club level studio. Lo and behold it came through a few weeks ago!

Originally only had the club level studio booked. My parents only decided to join us in late December, so that’s when I decided to book us a separate studio. Originally only one night of our dates was available in a value, so I booked it and put in two separate wait lists for the other two nights. They eventually came through about a month later on the same day. I’m not sure if it’s always like this but I feel like I have some real dumb luck with waitlists coming through!

I was under the 7 day arrival. I just got the last night. Since someone canceled.

Akl value opened up for 4 days. I actually did attempt for that. I was going to canceled candlewood Hilton for Monday but I could not get the CM to understand

He had to cancel my first night if the first contract. Then book the first night.

Then cancel the 2 two night and then pick up all the other first and borrow 2 more points.
He keep saying but ur points will go into holding and with the borrow rule...

I know. Cancel what I won’t be in first! But he didn’t get it.

I had a Very Good day yesterday !!

1. A particular item I have wanted showed availability about a 3 hour drive away. When I arrived I got the LAST one on the shelf and in the area !

2. Ate at a place that has no locations in my area and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

3. Called a family member on the way home to see if she was at home. Turns out several others were showing to get together and she was just getting ready to call me. Wonderful time with family.

4. Checked email when I got home. Waitlist for AKV Jambo Value studio for July 4th matched ! This gives me 2 nights BLT standard studio + one night AKV value. And because it's a 4 day weekend at work I don't even have to take vacation time.

Today I'm just basking in the glow of yesterday !! Everything went right.

As @ScottOKW2K, I feel like today has been a perfect day! There have been a few hard knocks that have preceded today, but things are looking up!!

First of all, I have hurt my shoulder and could not stay in the MRI machine two weeks ago. Today, my appointment with an open MRI worked, and so, I will be learning what can/will be done. I hurt myself on February 4, this year, and last week I found out that PT isn’t helping. SO..MRI was SUCCESSFUL!

On Thursday my DSis tested positive for Covid, and she and her DBF were to be at BWV this week. DBF fought cancer last year and is cancer free now. He hasn’t been in WDW in nearly 40 years. So, what’s the good part??

The BWV points were returned, and really, reservations for October are few and far between. Originally I booked 5 nights at SSR, but noticed 3 nights SV studio at BLT became available, so then they had 3 and 2. It seems impossible to believe, but yesterday a fourth night at BLT became available and TODAY a waitlist for a day came through. SO, in a matter of 4 days, I have pieced them a 5 night stay in a BLT standard view studio in OCTOBER!! The nights are Sunday to Friday, so the lesser points. I am so happy for them.

Today DBF also tested positive for Covid by a test at local pharmacy. DSis is getting better.

Thanks for listening. I hope they get and stay healthy. DBF especially has had a tough year and a half.
