Waitlist Came Through

Still waiting on a one night waitlist at BCV to extend our stay in October. Thought may have a chance when 7 months came a few days ago , but no luck so far. If doesn't come through , have backup with already booked nights at PVB.

Just remember that waitlists have to be processed by a CM once they match.

So, it is possible it did, if the window just opened a few days ago!!

One thing I wish was better with the website not somehow show a match has happened but that it’s just waiting to be finalized.

Thanks for the info. Will keep stalking also. I have BCV 10/17-22 and 24-26, Trying to get 23 at BCV but will not be too upset if doesn't come through as have a PVB studio 23-26 so would make a nice split stay.

We had our stay at AKL and decided 1 month before to try and move some of the day to BWV.
Looking online, nothing was available.
1 week later, the waitlist came through.
I was surprised as I kept looking a few times a day and never saw those rooms available.

I have some points that need to get used up so we decided to add one night a the beginning of our trip. I don't mind moving, but there's literally nothing available. A few days ago there was something at SSR and we were still pondering what we were going to do and I should have snagged them but I didn't and now it's gone. Sigh. I wish there were a waitlist for say, any studio that's less than xx number of points for this date.

I also have wished for this. What I have done in the past is setup two waitlists for said dates at resorts I would want and then keep looking a few times a day every day and book if I find it, then cancel the waitlists.

I actually prefer it the way it is. I think it would be way to hard to manage something like that and at least right now, every members gets the same number.

Maybe allowing more than 2 if a resort has more than one view in a room type. That I think would be okay.

I wouldn't mind seeing an option for any room at a resort.
Overall, I've been happy with our results when we have waitlisted for a trip. 4 for 4 so far, to my surprise. I have been shocked, but generally the waitlist has beat my stalking.

This was our first time ever trying the wait list feature. I had put in a wait list for BWV for a 2br (from a 1 br) in April) and then also needed to add 1 night at AKL for a May trip we gifted one of our employees.

I logged in one morning three weeks ago and BAM- both were approved.

I don't know if it was beginner's luck. But not having to keep stalking every day takes a lot of stress off!

I thought at one time the waitlist would disappear, but the reservation wouldn’t be reflected in your dashboard until the CM processed the waitlist. But am I misremembering that?

Years ago it would happen like that. But it does not do that any longer. The waitlist is there until processed. I only know that because I was actually in my account one day when the waitlist and my reservation disappeared at the exact time I was stalking.

I got nervous and then hit refresh and sure enough, the new room was there!

It is very possible, but considering that Fauci and Biden have both said that they don't think masks will be necessary outside the home by the 4th of July, I think more people will be keeping their reservations by then.

Could you tell me where this information is? I haven't heard this before, and would be wonderful! Thanks

Just got my WL for one night at BCV....now we don't have to move. It came through the one day I didn't have time to stalk!!

what day was that for? I still need one day, too, for our Sept. trip.

I am just guessing here, but I think there will be a fair number of cancellations right before the end of April so that borrowed points get returned to their use year. So a lot of waitlists could end up going through next month.

on a whim, a few weeks ago decided to WL upcoming WL studio to CC one starting 4/30.

Got word yesterday it came thru. Cherry on top if we get that touring plan request for the odd shaped studio!
