I have 5 nights booked at BC in Dec in a 2 bdrm Lockoff. I had an additional 2 nights booked (before and after the 5) in a regular 2 bdrm but had wait listed a lock-off so we wouldn't have to switch rooms.

I check today...and lo and behold the first night is available. I called MS and was able to get the room. The CM said "wow, I don't know why that didn't match. I will have to bring that up with management". :rolleyes2

So, keep checking on line availability if you have an active wait list.

Thanks for the heads up. I had wondered if that ever happened.

Thanks to DISers for all the help. I checked online this morning and found a room available that we had waitlisted but that didn't show as being matched/confirmed to our waitlist. I had to call MS to get that booked. When I asked how waitlists were matched the CM gave me a very vague answer that indicated that she just didn't know. If it weren't for DISers, I'd still be sitting on the waitlist!

It seems to happen alot. I look everyday, not wanting to miss my room because Disney IT stinks:rotfl:

The last time I asked MS about waitlists coming through, the CM told me that the waitlist has to match exactly with the number of nights that become available. So, if you are waitlisted for three nights, it will not book one or two as they become available....all three must be available at the same time in order for the waitlist to come through.

Sounds good in theory, but I've had one or two waitlists not come through, ended up seeing the availability online, and called in.

Yeah. The funny thing is that I was only wait listed for one night. The other night is a separate wait list...with a separate confirmation number. There is no reason, other than Disney's IT is wonky, for this wait list not to hit.

After reading these posts, I checked my account. I had two separate waitlists, each for one night during Thanksgiving week....

Lo and behold, one of my requests was available but my waitlist wasn't matched up. I'm booked now, but that's just not right. I guess I'll be checking every day for the other night. Bummer.

I just don't get it. Our summer waitlist came through without an issue. :confused3

Same happened to me. 1 night waitlist did not go through, so I called and got it. I thought it was a random error in the waitlist process. I guess it's more common than I hope. I've now been trying to check daily for my other 1 night waitlist, but the past two days, the reservation portion of the DVC website seems to be down, what's a girl to do? I don't like calling to check, I love the ability to check online.

wow I am so glad I saw this! I was wondering if this ever happened. I have a few wailtlists working- trying to get a studio over wine and dine half weekend. Now I know to keep checking.

I was just able to book the one night at BLT Studio Lake View, that we had waitlisted, by checking online. It just seems that Member Services should have a system that anytime a room comes free that it would automatically be filled by someone's waitlist. Yes, I know that there are many variables involved, but many are reporting, just like myself, that it was only one night in a specific category/resort that they had waitlisted, that they were able to get by either calling MS or by checking the online booking on a regular basis.
Glad that we were able to get the room that we needed, and maybe it would have come through the waitlist, but why take that chance under the current system?
