Waitlist Came Through Before My Eyes

So I just logged on to the DVC website. We had reserved 3 nights in a 2 bedroom at Animal Kingdom Jambo House and 3 nights at BWV. We really wanted VWL so we waitlisted the first 3 nights there. No movement for the last couple of months and today when I logged on I noticed the info for the waitlist was gone. I was about to panic when I saw it was gone. I went to the waitlist page and it had changed from active to confirmed. I have not received an email yet but the points have been deducted from my account.

May I ask when you submitted the request and when you are traveling?

I'm wait listed for 4 nights at AKL studio savannah view in October. Hoping for some pixie dust.

We purchased DVC via resale and closed in Jan. Middle of the month if I recall correctly. I immediately went to the website to book a trip for the family to celebrate our 30th anniversary in June. Booked AKL Jambo for June 21-24 and BWV for June 24-27. I waitlisted VWL at the same time. Have been checking weekly and no movement. Just came through yesterday.

Congratulations! We are waitlisted too for trips in both September and October. Hopefully, we'll have the same luck as you!

I just booked Labor Day week for us in a studio. When I first checked the week was open at bwv. When dh was finally ready to commit to that week there was one it unavailable. I booked what was open and waitlisted night 3 of our trip. Dh would NOT have been up for a split stay. Less than a week later the waitlisted came through - I logged in and saw it, no email... I then had 3 reservations for my 7 night stay - all bwv garden view studio. I emailed in a request to combine them all into one reservation and that was done later that morning! Of course now may dh may not be able to go that week after all

Thats brill, well done! Same thing happened to me - i was waiting for one night out of a three weeker in July n BINGO logged on n it was available! so chuffed at not having to uproot my hubby n kids for the sake of one night!

Woohoo! Just got one of two wait lists for our Labor Day trip. It was for two nights at the end of the trip. Now just wait listed for one day at the beginning of the trip. Feel extremely confident it will come through in time.

Last week dh and I decided we needed a vacation, booked three nights in a BWV studio BW view in June for our anniversary, I thought that was lucky. I waitlisted the first night for the same and booked AKV as a back up and last night when I logged on to My Disney Experience to make dining reservations I saw my reservation had changed to BWV for the 4 nights! So glad I tried waitlisting!
