Waitlist at BCV & BWV

What do you think my chances are?

I have a one-bedroom reserved for 6/5 - 6/11 at BWV (preferred, of course). I want to bump up to two-bedroom at EITHER BWV or BCV for the same time frame. I'm waitlisted as of last week. I know these things come through more often than not, however, I would be interested in knowing what you guys think my chances are.

I think your best bet will be the BCV because it is still being sold. As points are sold, more units are moved from the developers inventory to DVC, so you may get something because of that. Good luck.

okay what list are you on the daily or the entire trip. If you are on a wait list for entire time then you might have a problem.

If you are on the daily list - it can be upsetting - you know you get Mon, Tues, Fri - but not Wed or Thurs - but this list generally comes through - much faster than the other list.

We are OKW owners and waitlisted a 2br BWV or BCV unit for our August 15-23 visit when they weren't available within the seven month window for all of the nights. Within two weeks, BWV came through. We still have BCV waitlisted, but the DVC rep told us that there are a lot of people ahead of us and even with new inventory being added from time to time, we may not get an opening.

as to how many are waitlisted. Are they holding back more rooms than before? I tried to switch from OKW for 7/18 thru 7/23 for a 2 bedroom to the BCV and they had none. I already have 7/13 thru 7/18 but daughter decided she would rather stay there instead of moving. The have 18 and 19 for cash, which is what I want but i only want it if I can have the other three nights. I am just so surprised that so many resorts are booked up. I guess that shows how our membership is growing

Perhaps you should post on the Rent and Trade Board and see if anyone is at BCV for your dates and if they would be interested in trading resort reservations?

I have a 2 bedroom now for May 18 to the 24th and am on a wait list for another 2 bedroom. I am bringing my entire family, my boys, their girlfriends, my brother and SIL and my neice and nephew (their first trip to WDW), my dad, etc... 16 in all.
If we don't get the 2nd 2 bedroom I have to decide who gets to stay with me at Beach Club and who has to find somewhere else to stay. I tried Boardwalk but they are full then too.
I have been on the wait list since December and haven't heard a word. I called last week and asked if they could tell me what number I was on the list but they said it doesn't work that way.
Keep your fingers crossed.
BY the way, I did check the rent and trade board but only one person had a room available for that time and it was a 1 bedroom. and I don't want to buy from him, I have my own points to use.

I made reservations for June 21-27 at WVL in a 2br in February. Both BWV and BCV were full. They put us on the wait list for either place for a 2br. The BWV came through first and a week later, the BCV came through. Be patient.

I don't think people generally think of the Rent and Trade Board enough when trying to switch resorts. I really wish they would because I know that there will be times that I want to move from BCV (my home) to OKW or VWL at times of the year that might make it difficult for me to get in (ie early December).

I think people think that that board is only for paid transactions and it isn't if they read the FAQ.

Hmmm.....I think I better start a new thread on this subject.

MS always says this is a computerized system and there is no way to see an actual "list" so they can't tell you if you are next or number 100. Does anyone think DVC gudies have different access or is MS just blowing smoke so people will stop asking?
