Waitlist at Aulani

DS, DDIL and another couple have two studios in Aulani for a week in May, and found that flying home was better priced on a Sunday, so I have waitlisted each studio for the Saturday night. I have no experiences with Aulani pool/garden studios. Are there many of them? Our DS has made other arrangements, just in case, but the other couple hasn’t. May is still 4 months away. Does anyone think the waitlist will come through? I check, but only once a day.

It might be a pain to change rooms, but could you switch from two studios to a single 1 bedroom for the night? 1BR will likely have better availability.

Poolside Garden view might be the least-demanded view category, so that will help you. Standard View is cheap and there are very few of them, so they go first. Island Garden is also pretty cheap, but there are a ton. There are fewer Pool view units, but they're also pretty expensive and most people who decide to splurge figure they might as well go all the way up to Ocean.
