Waitlist and link to MDE

This seems like a dumb question I should know the answer to but here goes:

If a waitlist comes through will it be the same confirmation number and automatically change in MDE?

We rented points and I don't think my email got in there for getting the confirmations sent. I verbally got the first confirmation #s from MS on the 3 way call when we booked it. We have a split at SSR/AKL but waitlisted the whole trip at OKW and without it being my points I don't know how I will know (beyond contacting the lady we rented from) if the WL comes through.

Bonus question: did I read right that if you held an AP *at all* during 2020 you can get a new one? Ours expired 1/31/20 and I hope that is a loophole to get another. We were not planning on going to WDW this year so I haven't kept up on any of the changes!

Only the owner will get the email. But if they set it up to replace what you have, MDE will update.

If not. The old will disappear and you will have to contact the owner to get the new reservation number.

Only those who had APs or were in the renewal window when parks closed are eligible.

Your renewal window was over by that time, so you would not qualify.
