Is there anything worse than waiting?

We are waiting to hear if the job DH was offered and then put on hold is going to work out or not.

We are waiting to find out if we got approved for our mortgage to buy our first house.

We are waiting to close on said house.

We are waiting to find out the sex of the new baby (ok, I am waiting, DH isn't nearly as curious.)

I am currently waiting for my BFF to call me to let me know her DH is here so I can pick up her girls and watch them for the afternoon. They are in the process of moving today.

I hate waiting ... the job and the mortgage are the worse. The job went "on hold" last Monday. He called the manager on Friday to follow up and hasn't hear anything yet. It's getting annoying ... he had the job offer.

We are waiting right there with you! It sucks!!!

I thought FINDING the house was hard! This is 100x worse!!! :sad2:

And worse, they called us TODAY to tell us that the loan packet was mailed out TODAY, and it still has to GET to us, and we have to fill it all out, MAIL it, wait for them to GET it, and then from there, it's 7-10 more business days!!! C'mon already!!!

I'm currently on two major projects at work: For both, I'm totally blocked, unable to do any significant work, because I'm waiting for others to do their job (long after when they were supposed to be done).

At church, I put out podcasts and videocasts of the sermons, but I'm waiting for access to the server.

And I'm typing this sitting in the waiting room of the car dealership, as $780 worth of new tires get installed and aligned. Paying to wait is even worse than waiting by itself.

I suppose that is all part of life. Rush to get somewhere on time, and then wait. Pay for something, and wait. I have been waiting forever to hear about my first book that I wrote to see if and when it will be published. The waiting is killing me. Then what do I do? I wrote a second one as a sequel to the first since I loved the characters so much. Didn't want to see them "die". :rotfl2: Plus all these great ideas kept popping into my head. I wanted to get it all down on paper before it popped out. Now I have to wait to submit that book.

The second one IMO is much better than the first. I am far more proud of that one, but it wouldn't make total sense unless you read the first one. I enjoy writing, and would like to continue but am afraid of wasting my time if I am told I am not talented enough. So yeh, waiting is all part of life IMO. And it stinks. :headache:
