I interviewed for a job, at the beginning of February, in the middle of a snowstorm. I want this job!

The interview went well and I was told I would find out this week about the job due to other interviews and a planned vacation. I went to HR and filled out the necessary paperwork 2 weeks ago (background checks/references).

I've been impatiently waiting ever since. I really REALLY want this job :rotfl2: Huge salary raise, great benefits, perfect work environment for me, someplace that I could see myself staying for a long time and being happy :thumbsup2

Yesterday morning I received a call asking if I was still interested in the position (YES YES YES) and that HR was being slow checking references for some reason. I would hear back by the end of the week.

I feel like I keep getting a little nibble closer to the "it's yours" phone call but I obviously can't assume that I'll be offered the job. So for now, I'll just keep waking at 4am obsessing that I REALLY REALLY REALLY want this job! (did I mention that? :rotfl2:) :goodvibes

Oh yea, as soon as I am offered the job I can schedule a Disney trip for the end of August :lmao:

Gah! :crazy2: Patience is a virtue but it's just so hard! I really hope they call you soon to tell you it's time to get to work.

:)

Good Luck! I just started a new position yesterday.

I used to work in H.R. Dept. and sometimes it does take a while to get your background checks back. Be patient. Keep us updated.

wishing you the best of luck! :) looking for a job myself.

wishing you the best of luck, we are also waiting on a new position for DH and it is killing me to sit here and wait for it to be finalized.

oh, the waiting game is a killer!!

I think the job is in the bag for you...why would they bother called to see if you were still interested if not!

Maybe send an email, or even a small bouquet of flowers to express your continued interest and how excited you are about employment prospects with their company...(or does this sound a little too stalkerish?)

Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer...Congratulations!

Congrats! I'm in a job hunt myself. I know what it feels like to find that perfect job. I haven't been lucky enough to actually get to the job, but I'm happy to hear about other people's success. :thumbsup2

I know the feeling My wife is going to occupational therapy school in Florida but we can't move until I get a job down there. Sent several resume's but nobody has responded. I think living out of the area is a big disadvantage.
