Waiting till Sun. Aug 24 to hear about Free Dining Bounceback??

The AKL flier does say $2276. You got 2263 because you priced a 5 day instead of a 6 day ticket

You need to figure $95 per "day", not "night"...that gets you very close.

So they're offering lodging for 5 nights, base tickets for 5 days, and food for 6 days? Odd, but I see what you're saying & that does bring the numbers closer.

ETA: Ah - read flier again, it does day 1 theme park per day ticket, so that's 6.. recalculating again. I'm exhausted from all this planning :)

Website: $2275.84
Flier: $2280

OK - Close enough... I'm happy I 'get it' now :) THANKS!

It says 95 PER DAY but the package is a 5 night, 6 day pass with dining for 6 days yes, but the dining credits are based on the 5 nights....

Whew! So glad the flyers are in the rooms! We check in at BWV in just 1 week 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, we'll be booking bounceback for sure!!!!

Question: do you think BCV will be included? Last year with BB I booked Poly for our stay this year. I tried and tried a month after we got home to move it to BCV and no luck. And the next month. And the next month. They said the code wouldnt' work there.:headache:

I tried BWV, no luck. I finally booked BWV with a code in March or April and gave up FD.;)

I know that the CMs on the phone offered me OKW & SSR everytime I called to try for BCV or BWV with the FD BB offer. :rolleyes1

Anyone tried to book BCV or BWV with this new offer?:confused3

if the flyers are NOT in your rooms call the front desk or ask EVERYONE u see, cuz if u check out without reserving and payin a $deposit for next trip......u are out of luck.............u can ONLY do the:goodvibes bounceback WHILE u are staying there! NOT AFTER>
Dont miss out! Have a blast!;)

Even though the bounceback is tempting, we decided to pass on it and just use our regular AP discount next year. The discount is for the hotter months that we really don't care to come back for. In addition, with free dining starting today, the crowds were horrific. EMH at MK was a real challenge and it got on everybody's nerves; lots of complaints heard. You woulda thought that it was free hotel and free dining judging by the crowds. Lots of complaints from alot of people and I was simply livid; mostly at myself for being stupid enough to book a cheap last minute trip at the beginning of a bounceback deal (which I totally forgot about since we never come during any other time than December).

Anyone know whether 1 br @ Saratoga/OKW will be included - or is it just studios?

treu, it is per person per day in the example provided in the flyer. i read that wrong (bear with me I am new to the package thing! ;)). still the math is great, for us it means saving roughly 100 a day.

Hi guys! I've read different threads about this bounceback, so forgive me if this is something that has already been asked. I understand on the flier, the package needs to be booked by Oct. 24th.

Since we'll be down there during free dining, this isn't an issue. The issue is dates. I'm curious (since a lot can happen in a year) if I book one set of dates during free dining, and say in January, after we've put our requests in at work, if the dates I booked aren't good, can I call and change them to another set of dates, still within the free dining period?

I hope I explained that right.

Also, this year, we're going just the three of us. Next year, we'll be going with more family, and will need more rooms. Since we're only one room this year, are we only allowed to book one bounceback room?

Thanks in advance guys. And, yes, I understand that rules do change from year to year, I'm just looking for past precedent. Thanks again. :goodvibes

Each adult in your room may book a "bounceback" room & pay 200 deposit per room. I have never had an issue changing my dates for a bounceback after the promo has ended. Before, during & after general public offer included and I have done it several times due to work & school. HTH:goodvibes

Thanks...and congrats on the predictions via the Batcomputer being correct again. You ARE the Batman.

Can anyone give me an idea what the rates would be for the special offer discount with FD on OKW or SSR that first week in October? I tried plugging those resorts in for room only rates (figuring I'd just do the math myself) but couldn't get any availability (came back with alternate suggestions.)

When I tried to book a package. I then tried to book just a room, found plenty of availability. I put in my dates, the number of people, then clicked on the "Advanced Search" underline under the # of guests I chose "Disney Deluxe Vacation Villas" from the list and when the listing of all of the villas came up, chose SSR, then had plenty of choices and availability. Chose my room type, then added the tickets, MYW package, etc.

Don't know why it worked that way, but it did.

Thank you very much. Bummer that we only have two adults and will need three rooms. :lmao: Ah well. Good to know that you didn't have an issue changing dates, I was hoping that would be the case. :goodvibes

THe general public free dine dates are always shorter then the bounceback dates. Free dining bounceback from last year for this year went into early october but the general public free dine for 08 ended 9/20. You can check in on the last day and get free dine for the entire stay up to 14 nights after

So you could get free dining for 14 nights? I could only get it 10 nights this year. Is the 14 night option, only for bouncebacks?

and one more question, do you have to pay for park tickets for all of the nights or can you get the park tickets 1 night or even possible 0 nights???

thanks for answering!:cloud9:

This is a pet peeve of mine. How in the world are you supposed to know whether you got a good deal or not. Every e-mail they ever send sounds like a great deal, but often it is not. That sure seems deceptive.
I understand what Disney's saying $X per person per night based on a certain location, number of nights & people, but try as I might, I cannot replicate the numbers they came up with. See if my math is off....

The Flier's Info for an AK room:

$95/nt * 5nts * 4 people (2 adult, 1 jr, 1 child)
= $1900 (before tax)

The website:

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Check In September 06, 2009
Check Out September 11, 2009
Staying for 5 nights, 6 days
Adults 2, Children 2 (1 is a jr.)
Room Type Standard View
Tickets 5-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket
Package Magic Your Way Package
not including dining.
= 2,263.05 (before tax)

:confused3 Looks like theres a different formula than what's being used for base packages on the website going on here.

I am so excited, we might have to squeeze another trip out of these APs.

:cloud9: Next year..
Only doing a Aug trip!!

I thought last year was bad when I was booking my next year (this year) trip while I was in my room, Only last year I was unprepared for it.

Now Im looking at Dates right now so I can do the same thing this year..

It is uncanny how "right on" you were with all the details related to this promotion :). Do you predict winning lottery numbers????? I will be losing my job at the end of the year (seriously, after 22 years with the company :headache: ) and if I just had a winning lottery ticket or two, I would be set :thumbsup2 . Thanks for all your information that you provided :).
