waiting in line ettiquet....

I really don't like line-saving... I've hated it ever since I waited in line once at Soarin' for 40 minutes and the guy who was alone decided he recongnized a buddy from high school and made him and his 8-person family cut about 15 of us even though he refused to... I was so mad, but the CM sent his group in one aisle so I didn't get a chance to fume properly...

If someone needs a bathroom break, it'll be okay for them to leave the line and come back, but only enter in a place where they can duck back in without going past a bunch of people. It's a nuisance, but people have to understand that it's necesary....

I agree that cutting in line is not a good idea and just plain not polite. But I am confused about something...there are quite a few comments that say cutting in line isn't good "unless it's a potty break". Who in line is going to know that my DH and DD had to go to the potty, when they cut in line to catch back up to me???? :)

I think the way it's acceptable is if you're already in line, then parent and child get out of line to use the bathroom, then they get back in the line. It's not quite the same if someone gets in the line while others are already in the bathroom. Of course, it's always better to ask the people behind you if they mind. I can't imagine anyone saying you can't...but the people behind you certainly appreciate it. :thumbsup2

I have been practicing waiting(in lines) with my DD-5y
at the post office, deli line, checkout at the market,at the movies, the secretary of state..ect:scared1:

I went at peak times so our wait would be "extra long" for the full "affect" so she could build up a tolerance. My DD can now wait 30-40 minutes.

she also has her gameboy to distract her so that should help.

Well, I'll have to admit something I did last year in June. It was Nemo's grand opening weekend, and only VIP's and such were allowed to go on. So we walk by, and it was opened for everyone. I couldn't believe it!! A soft opening!! WooHoo!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: So anyways, my DD, her friend and I jumped in line, and I proceded to call my DH who was just getting to the park. I told him to high tail it over there to join us, and be quick. :hyper: So he got there in about 10 minutes, and we still waited about 45 minutes or so. What an opportunity! Waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy better than 3 hours. :yay: So that is my story of line cutting.

Sorry! (But not really) :rolleyes1
