Waiting for SWA to open its Dec/Jan fares thread!

Waiting for BUF-MCO Dec 17, MCO-BUF Dec 31 (DH), MCO-BUF Jan 7 (me, DD8, DS5), anyody care to wait for Dec/Jan dates with me?
Last year schd. was released July 29, anybody want to guess when it will open up this year?

Also, if it opens on or before Aug 4, will we be entitled to the current Florida sale ? I think on the SWA sale web page it says the sale runs until Aug 4 and is for all dates! Any thoughts???

I'm waiting with you! We leave Dec 15th and return on the 23rd (out of New Orleans). I am hoping they release this Thursday. It's killing me, I see all of the great Ding prices for Oct thru Nov. I hope we are as lucky!!!!

Thought I'd pull up chair and sit a spell with ya'll...we're waiting for 12/18 STL, BNA, or IND to MCO and 12/25 return. We're kinda in the middle of nowhere airport land...minimum of a 2 1/2 hour drive. So far, Indianapolis looks the best price, but is the longest drive, so I'm really hoping for STL...saw a great ding fare last week for it, but not with our dates.

Thanks for the heads up about the possible release date...we've never flown SW, so it's all new to me. I'm learning a lot from all the DISsers.

Count us in. We are waiting for 12/23 - 1/5! It would really feel good to have this last part of our trip planned.

I'll join the wait. We are waiting for 12/18-12/26 from Austin Texas. I guess the upside is that once we get the tickets we won't have to worry about flight changes since I gather SW does not do that often since they're not releasing dates 9 months in advance.

Hey Chris, I am in Kyle Have you noticed how MCO from San Antonio seems to get better specials, more often, over Austin to MCO? They certainly seem to pop up on Ding alot more (for something like $79/one way) Grrr, it drives me batty everytime I see it! My DH now knows exactly what's going on when I'm sitting on my laptop and suddenly yell "You're killing me here!"

I'm waiting with you! I have one way tickets for the way down, which is Dec. 10th but I need the return trip which is Dec. 20th. I don't like having tickets for just one way. There are 6 of us on this trip. Cast of Characters is DH, Me, DD4, DD3, My Dad and Step Mom. Grandparents want to see Disney through the grandkids eyes so we are all going. Hope it is soon!

Branv - Yeah I've noticed San Antonio has better specials. I also like that their non-stop flight to orlando is earlier in the day than the one out of Austin (at least for the early Dec. schedule, I don't know if the flight schedules will change when the new dates come out). We're flying with little kids so a non-stop is critical. If the price and schedule difference is significant we'll drive to San Antonio, but I would rather not.

We're with you........flying out of PHL on 12/10.....waiting for 12/17 to open up. Four of us this trip DH, two DS's 24 and 16, and myself. DD and DGS (4) have decided not to go this trip (actually DD did....DGS doesn't even know about it at his mother's request!!) We're on the 12:55 p.m. ns flight....how about you?

Hurry up, Southwest!!! The STL-MCO $94 one-way special is set to expire at midnight July 28 (tomorrow!!). I need the rest of Dec to open up because I can only book my flight TO MCO right now. Actually, what I REALLY want is American to match that price so I can fly them and get my free frequent flyer tickets.

Is it just me or does it seem that SW ends a sale the day before they open up the schedule? This happened the last two times I was looking for flights. It is possible that since they have a sale ending 7/28 that we may see flights on 7/29?

We are actually flying out of BWI at 7:10am on Dec. 12 and flying home on the 20th. 10 Days in WDW I can't wait. It actually takes us longer to get to Philly than to Baltimore from Harrisburg, and RT 83 south to BWI is an easier drive than Turnpike to the Surekill! We use to live in Bensalem and work in downtown Philly I avoid that place if I can. Good luck and we'll wait together!

Is there not a current systemwide sale that ends Aug 4.? If so, will they release the fares after Aug.4? I would prefer they release them July 29 (after the Orlando sale) though since then I could purchase internet only fares (from the Aug 4 sale).

Any thoughts?
