Waiting for ROFR

We are on the longest week now. Our contract was put in on the 27th, for 401 points now, and 220 in April at OKW. We have seen $75 get ROFR and $78 pass but we were at $77.

I am almost sick from the wait and trying to keep busy with the horses, chores and sewing today, but it stays in the back of my mind.

I think it should take about 2 weeks seems to be average. So we have another week to go.

If we ROFR I am just going to give up the resale and buy at SSR. There are no real deals as DVC keeps the value.

Good luck! You are experiencing one of the drawbacks of the resale market. It is definitely a challenging place for those without a lot of patience!!

I am in the same boat as you are. I have now been waiting 3 weeks. Ours was submitted on 10/16 and have heard nothing. (VWL 115 pts)

This ROFR is insane for an A type personality. At least I know they only have about a week left.

Hi Friends,

I did speak with a great guy from the timeshare store, not the people I am working with right now and Jerry was wonderful! I sure do wish they had held this contract.

His words were encouraging and he feels we will get our contract at $77 but did express concern on the closing costs being paid by seller. He said it was good we were paying the fees.

So the wait goes on. I did see that have a nice little contract at OKW for $78 a point for 180 points.

The wait continues and we try to keep busy while waiting. Thanks for the support. I will let you know when we find out. I still am expecting the worse, that way I won't be disappointed.

The best advise I can give you is to not think about it, distract yourself, and not count the days. It only makes the waiting worse if you are watching the calendar and counting the days. I speak from experience; Disney took the full 30 days to get back to us on our resale.

Disney exercised their ROFR on our first contract. We ended up buying at SSR direct. Now we've just agreed to terms on a small addition at HH, so we'll wait with you! Good Luck!
