Waiting for member ID, but need for AP?

We became members back in early Sept, but haven't received our member ID's yet. We want to go to Disney over the holiday break, but I've read that I need to show my member ID to be able to buy the AP? How does this work if ours never came?

The main thing you need is your member number, they have to key it into the system to activate the AP. I would call member services. I know you can get a temporary ID at some of the resorts, which one are you staying at?

This is sort of a last minute trip so we have to say off site. But I can ask member services and see what they say. I thought I'd ask first in case someone else had been through this.

DVC can now issue real member id cards at WDW. You can get them at BLT, AKV, BWV (Community Hall) and SSR (Preview Center).

We will have a car so that should be an easy stop. I hope they open somewhat early so we can stop before the parks open or at least by 9am.
