Regardless of DCL's policy, can anyone give us some information on former cruises that people have taken where waiting until close to the cruise time that they saved a considerable amount of money? Thanks

Expedia has deals right now about $450 off per person and in January, they went down to $599 PP for 7 days! I'm keeping an eye open daily so friends can come along!
Good luck-
Sue

Walter, are you asking about DCL or other cruise lines, I wasn't sure? There are some deals in January and February on DCL but they will not discount them any more, like they typical "last minute" deals that some other cruise lines run.

And if you book early and then they offer a deal toward the end, just call Disney or your travel agent and you can get the lower price.

I realized after posting that I should have clarified that the question related to other than DCL. Sorry

One caveat of booking at the last minute is lack of stateroom choice...if you are partial to a certain stateroom or area of the ship, your chances of getting that diminish greatly depending on how close to sailing date and time of year....

We typically book our 7 day cruises 6 months in advance, and never had a problem getting a stateroom we wanted. Of course, if you want one of the coveted "secret porthole staterooms" on deck 5, you must book way early...Please note that your TA will deduct any new discounts to your reservation, as they become available(if they are reliable and proactive)...
