Waiting For July Hours

We check in July 14 for 7 nights! We usually go the second week of August, but are trying July this year.

I am so frustrated that the July hours is still up in the air. Anyone of you found that the schedule for June 30 a bit off? especially DHS hour for 6/30. It is going to close at 7pm. This has never been heard of(not even on the slowest season ever) Can we really rely on last year's July hours to plan our ADR's? I need to make all of my ADR's on 3/29(I think) before the release of July hours.....so mad...

What are your plans for the holiday?

We were thinking of MK fireworks on the 3rd and DHS on the 4th...We would love to know how the display is at DTD and even if they are having one this year because we are staying at SSR for the first half of our trip....It would be great not to travel to a park on the 4th...We have no plans of going to any parks during the day for the entire three day weekend...Our trip is 11 days long so we have to time to just hang out at the resorts for the weekend and avoid the big crowds during the day.

We're thinking of watching MK fireworks from the Poly beach on 7/3, then hitting DHS on the 4th. We went to DTD last year for July 4th fireworks. They were awesome, but we made the mistake of parking close to the buildings (we spent the whole day there, shopped, played at DQ, saw La Nouba, yada, yada). It took us TWO AND A HALF HOURS to get out of the parking lot and back to the Dolphin when the fireworks were over. It's well worth doing, but park at the very back of the parking lot and don't linger when the show is over.

Thanks for the information about DTD...I think we might just do that...We do not have to worry about the driving because we will be at SSR that night.

I just read on allears that they had two other preview nights on June 29th and July 1...I hope they have them on July 1 again because that is our first night there and we were planning an MK day

I was thinking about just hanging around the Pop, as I have never stayed there before and would like to look around. We will only be there one night before moving to the Dolphin so I don't have much time to check it out. But I may have to change my mind!

We plan on doing MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th. That is why I picked the Dolphin, so we can walk right out after the fireworks.

Goodness, now I'm tempted to see if I could switch to POFQ the first night so we can just take the boat to DTD. Decisions, decisions.

Oh no...I am sorry...I was not clear....The fireworks I was referring to was the MK display, not DTD...As far as last year schedule goes, DTD only had a display on the 4th.

I can make my ADR for our trip starting on July 1st on Thursday...I have created my plan using last year's schedule and some educated guesses...I hate that I will not have any time to work with actual 2009 schedule before I need to make the call...I think I may not ever plan a trip early in the month ever again if they are going to continue to wait so long to post the hours...It really is not fair that we do not have any time to study the schedule...

Sorry for the rant...I am just a bit frustrated

I'm with you. We booked free dining for the first time and I'm stressed about making ADR's at the 90 day window. How do you do that without a calendar?

does anyone know what time of the day they post them at? Will they show up at midnight tonight or is it just some time during the 1st day of the month? At least if it's midnight, we'd have some chance to check our plans before having to call ADRs at 7am (for those of us whose 90 day window starts tomorrow)!
