Has anyone heard if Disney will be offering Free Dining to Canadians? I've been checking but so far I haven't read anything on the board and my travel agent hasn't heard anything. Am I a little early? When is this announcement usually released? I'm getting anxious to book my 2012 trip.

Free Dining is Available to Everyone, from Everywhere, right now, for end of August - end of September. We're you hoping to travel at another time this year ?

That's the exact time we want to go but my travel agent couldn't get it through the tour company.

My colleague at work just booked his FD for September. So yes, it's available for booking now.

For some reason it is only showing on the US website but it is available to everyone. If you go to the bottom of the webpage there is a drop down that allows you to change the site you are on to the US site and it will show there. I had the same problem with it when it was first announced and my TA could not find it, she then checked the US site and there it was. She brought to it to Disney's attention but looks like they have nothing to correct it. Good Luck, lots of resorts are already sold out of this deal as it has been out for about a month now.

It is available to Canadians...you just cannot book it online. Your TA will have to call to get the pricing.

Free dining is available to everyone. You have to book by May 18th

Here a link about it on dream's website

I know that they just added the Animation hotel this week, and there is limited free dining at certain hotels, it all depends on where you are staying and if they have free dining packages left at the hotel.

Your TA should be call Disney directly if they are having issues booking.

It was already offered to Canadians last fall....You had to book by Dec 17? I believe....I booked with the Canadian FD code for Sept 28-Oct 4, 2012.... But I booked back in September.....
ETA: I think there is currently a GP FD offer out, call Disney CRO direct to inquire ....hope you get what you want :)

Yep, this is being marketed by Disney as a US domestic offer and therefore not available on-line to Canadians via the WDW or a TA's website.

This is also why we haven't seen any commercials or read any newspaper ads on the current offer for Free Dining.

Because the agent I used last time said there was no free dining...after going on different sites and chatting with american companies..they said yes! I went into CAA and they told me free dining!

Any chance they will announce Free Dining for August 14th to the 25th?

thanks
Snick, first post!

why don't you use an agent to just arrange your flights if that's what you want?

Well, we've thought of that but it's going to cost about $1800 to fly out of Toronto. I havent checked Hamilton's prices but I doubt the difference would be that much and the flights out of Buffalo would also mean the cost of a hotel for the night. However, we're still exploring our options....

how many people are in your party to travel? im in windsor and we always cross over to the us to fly because of the lower cost. we have six adults flying this year and i paid 1500 round trip USA side. even with a hotel for the night, i think it would prob be cheaper for you to go to the usa side.

There are 3 of us... 2 adults and 1 10-yr-old. When I checked, most of the flights out of Buffalo had stopovers on the way there and back. We really want to avoid that.

I'm hoping to get something booked by May 18 so we can take advantage of the FD offer so we'll have to come up with something soon.

3 of us are flying out of BUF in Sept for $890 US. The exchange was $8 pp. Flights out of BUF will keep going up & up & the likelihood of getting non-stop now is slim to possibly none because those flights have filled up. Flights have been listed for that time of year for a while now. Having a stop is no big deal. We've done it lots.

West Jet is having a sale right now. They don't fly out of Hamilton to MCO though until High season starts which is around the end of Oct.

My TA had to call Disney direct to get FD for me (Sept. 16-23). She couldn't get it from Air Canada Holidays or Transat or any of those suppliers. Perhaps your TA just needs to call Disney directly?

Had to book before December for the offer to Canadians only but it is now available to everybody. They probably will have an extention for the fall like they do since a couple of years.
