Waiting for August Hours - All hours are up!!

The hours should be posted very soon!:cool1: I just made my 90+10 reservations this morning. We tried to book the F! dinner package for 90+3, but the cm couldn't get it to work because the park schedule wasn't up yet. When we were done making all of the reservations, she tried one last time, and the package came up! She said that it means that they are working on the hours now. (I have no idea how long it takes for the work to be done, though!;))

That would be 5pm Monday our time! So much for me doing my planning on my long weekend off work!

I was going to say it should have worked. I booked the Fantasmic package for Sunday August 2nd this morning. Mama Melrose but at like 4:30pm for the 9pm show.

This waiting gives new meaning to "Wishes", eh? :lmao: I'm not a patient person... and I need my park hours!

Well I have a split stay (6 days at Pop Century then 10 days at the Polynesian) and the system wouldn't let me book past the 6 days at Pop Century...talked to 3 different people so that stunk.

All 3 cast members I spoke to at Dining Reservations said they didn't expect the hours to be posted before noon on Monday. That's the 4th and under 90 days before august 1. Kinda disappointing...

well that stinks you couldn't make all 10 days worth.I have 2 different reservations back to back at pop so I guess I will only be able to make adr's for the first reservation and then have to wait for the 2nd set of ad's till that 90 days.Doesn't seem very fair.

Where are the August hours? I was a good little dwarf I waited till May 1st. Why must Disney makes us wait for everything?

Yeah apparently they just got a new system within the past month for dining reservations and it is a "smart system" that catches glitches which I guess is good. The down side is that it is so smart that it won't let you book past the days on your confirmation number so if you have a long trip with 2 confirmation #'s you cant do the full 10 days if part of it is in the other half of your trip.

An amusing side note, I tried to book the 50's Prime Time Cafe for 90+6 days out and the system told her it was booked from open to close already. We had a chuckle at that because that would never happen. After a call to a supervisor it was fixed and low and behold it was open for almost any time that day.

I am new here. We are going on Aug 18 to 28 for 10 days with free dining. This is our first time to WDW.
Why do you guys need to know the park hours? Do you want to know the EMH of each park to plan the ADR? Are we supposed to avoid the EMH parks because of the crowd? Please tell me more about it. Thanks in advance.

This is our 2nd family trip to WDW; all the other trips were 20 years ago before we had kids. So I had a steep learning curve when I started planning last year's trip.

For what it's worth, here's what I would do:

1. Take a look at the menus at www.allears.net and come up with a list of restaurants you want. For what it's worth, I tend to avoid any restaurants that count as 2 dinners on the meal plan; there are plenty of wonderful choices that only count as one. (My sister, on the other hand, has 12 table service meals planned for her upcoming weeklong trip :) ) The particular ones I'm looking at this year include Kona Cafe, The Coral Reef, Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Sci Fi Diner, Le Cellier, and possible Biergarten or the Aukerhaus princess meal. Others we tried last year included Chef Mickey's & 'Ohana)

2. Come up with a list of any non-daily shows or events that are important to you-- Fantasmic or anything similar.

3. Decide on a strategy-- will you use or avoid EMH days?

4. When it comes out, take a look at the August Calendar. (Or use the touring plans Crowd Calendar) Match your ADRs to the park you'll be in each day. (The monorail resort restaurants-- 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana, Chef Mickeys, and so on-- are very easily reachable from the Magic Kingdom)

Does that help at all??

What is 90+3:confused3

You can book 90 days out, plus the number of nights you are there if staying on site.

Thus, 90+3 = 90 days out plus 3 nights on site.

I'm 90+8, my date is may 21st to book. Going in august. So I've got a little bit to go yet. Already know where we want to eat (CRT, Ohana, LIberty Tree, Jiko, Flying Fish, and Chef Mickey's), just don't know what days yet. Know we are going to CRT on monday, august 24th though. :D

Figures about the 10 day rule, we are going for 18 nights and they being split on two stays 9 & 9.

LOL! Where are you staying?
I feel bad for those of you who need to make your ADRS shortly. I have time still but I want those hours!

We'll be at Pop Century the 23rd-29th!! At least we have a couple of weeks before we have to call...

Alright...I managed to keep myself busy yesterday, but I seriously don't have anything to do this weekend but housework. And I try my best to put that off as much as possible, so I bet I'll be on here checking ALL DAY LONG.

And was this thread merged with another one? I have a hard time believing that it doubled in length overnight. I mean, I know we're all obsessed, but I really don't think everyone posted all night long. :confused3 Well, maybe that could have happened! :rotfl:

i am going August 8-16, i read on here about the 90+ whatever days thing you keep talking about so i called this moring to try and book...and they wouldnt let me....they said i cannot book til may 10th....why? am i not understanding something correctly??

When you are 90 days away from the first day of your vacation, you can then book up to 10 days of ADR's starting with the first day of your vacation.

On May 10, you will be 90 days away from the first day of your vacation. You can then book all your ADR's for the rest of your vacation.

You can start booking 90 days before you check in, and then book for up to 10 additional days (depending on the length of your hotel reservation). I assume May 10 is your 90 days.

Cute :flower3: niece story... was telling her about how I want the hrs to come out for making reservations... and she asked me if the restaurants were near the parks and if the parks have snacks in them. :rotfl: I take so much for granted.

Meanwhile, I've been using my "I wish we had hrs already!" energy preparing a trip pack for the girls which will have basic info, some basic rules, rough itinerary and a bunch of activities like word searches that I've found online. Stuff to hopefully keep them occupied while sitting and the airport and on the plane.

ahh.....i get it now! i knew that you could book for your entire trip (well 10 days out) on 90 day mark, but I thought for some reason it meant that you can book 90 days out, plus how many nights you are staying on property, like we are staying 8 nights, so i thought we could book 98 days in advanced! haha wow im not awake yet!!! and im DYING for these park hours!!!! not that i can book yet...but i LOVE LOVE LOVE planning!!! lol

I have come to terms that we will probably see the park hours tommorow the 90 day mark. :rolleyes1

I must have been to the Disney site a 1000 times!

Wait, you have a trip pack already and you're going when? This is problem going to sound the wrong way but how do you do it? I've got 3 teens and I'm so busy trying to run around with their lives I can't even imagine trying to pack a bag for a trip 3 months out. I'm still trying to figure out what's going to happen over the summer. I'm impressed.

I think she means activities and helpful hints, stuff like that. Papers, mostly. Not clothes and stuff. Can you imagine a teen without some of their clothes for three months? :rotfl:
(I can say this because I am one, :goodvibes)
