I had been debating on buying tickets for 12/19, school finals and schedule had me indecisive. Now it's sold out

You will miss all of the "Party" stuff. Free cookies and hot cocoa, Disney "snow" on Main Street, the special character meets, the Christmas parade, the special fireworks, special dance parties. You could possibly miss shorter ride lines but from what I have been hearing that might not be the case. I have heard that some of the MVMCPs are really crowded. What you won't miss will be the decorations. The park will be decorated. The castle will be lit (by Elsa if that matters). Usually the regular Wishes fireworks and MSEP go off on non-party nights (check the schedule). I do not suggest going to the MK on a MVMCP night if you don't have a party ticket. It forces you out of the park at 7:00 PM and party goers get in at 4:00 PM with their party tickets making it super crowded. We have done the party a few times, so were worth it, some not so much. Considering the cost, it is not a must-do for us.

Some of the stuff at the party will be seen regularly the following week. Check to see when the holiday schedule begins whether it is Saturday or later. Can you go to the party on Dec. 18? The last party usually does sell out. Have you checked undercover tourist to see if they have any?

Unfortunately we were pushing it to get there on the 19th, definitely can't make the 18th. I was hoping that the Christmas parade would run that week. We will be at MK on the 21st and 25th. Ready for the 25th to be crowded.

Th Christmas Parade goes to daily operations on December 20th and ends on the 31st. The two Christmas stage shows will also run daily as well as the Holiday Wishes fireworks. The only things you'll miss are the rare character meets, free cookies, and free hot cocoa.

You will be able to see most everything during your visits on the 21st and 25th then.

It's not that big of a deal. You'll be able to experience the parade, fireworks, and MK holiday shows the rest of the week during the normal park operating day. If going to MVMCP really means that much, they are tickets for that night still on StubHub, but you'll definitely pay far more. Absurdly more actually, but that's really your only reliable option at this point (yes, StubHub is very reliable but very pricy as well). A slightly riskier move is to look on eBay. Personally, I've never had any problems but some on this board gasp when you even mention the word.

Personally, I wouldn't do either. It's way overpriced considering you can see most of the entertainment the very next day. Spend the money on a CP Dining Package instead or just spend the night at DHS seeing Osborne or visiting DTD.

Thanks everyone! While I still feel horrible for missing it, I felt better knowing we will be able to see the parade and fireworks later that week. My daughter's other "concern" was the yummy snacks, peppermint sundae to be exact

I'm guessing you can find something similar to the sundae during your trip for a lot less than a party ticket.

Plaza had the peppermint sundae....it is vanilla and mint ice cream in a waffle bowl with candy cane sprinkled on top. In case they don't still have the sprinkles when you visit, bring a few candy canes from home that you put in a bag and used a rolling pin or a frying pan and crushed....sprinkle them on a sundae of her choosing and smile! Plaza has a waffle bowl where you can choose 2 scoops so you can copykat that part, and if you bring some crushed peppermint candy you can duplicate what she's hoping for......and You save $60+ dollars per person..., lol.

With that $60 you saved you can definitely do better than the free snickerdoodles and watered down hot cocoa that was given out......try the bakery for a much better cookie and the coffee place will likely have good cocoa.

The special characters meet and greet (and there weren't all that many) and short lines for rides is about all you'll miss out on because you'll be there when the parade/fireworks become the daily ones without the need for the extra ticket.

Who would imagine that you can buy it on stub hub. Can buy direct from disney the night before for 75.00 tax included.

I'm feeling better and better with every comment I read!
