Wait! Where's your wedding ring? An Oct. 2013 Disneymoon TR Updated 5/7!

Looks like a great party night!!

Great idea for the FB page - I just liked it! :thumbsup2

Whoa, those Haunted Mansion CMs looked dead serious, haha! And the addition of the cobwebs and such is just perfect for MNSSHP.

It's horrible, but I've never watched A Nightmare Before Christmas! Howard has the DVD, but I've just never been in a mood to watch it. I know I MUST watch it because there are so many people who love the movies, so clearly I'm missing out!

Amazing bus pixie dust!!!

I love that lobby, so much so that Franklin had one rule when we decided to buy a DVC contract at VGF: He made me promise that I would actually leave the GF lobby when we stay there. :lmao:

We toured the VGF lobby last month after seeing those gorgeous photos that Franklin took. My iPhone camera doesn't capture the beauty of it.

Here's my shameful secret, I've never set foot in WL. I want to, desperately, it just hasn't happened yet. I will get there (at the very least next December so I can see the legendary Christmas decorations!)

You better be prepared to be at the WL for awhile if Franklin brings his camera. That resort is gorgeous with a million photo ops. ;) He won't be able to stop taking pictures. :goodvibes

All right! Getting caught up from vacation. :thumbsup2

I'm really loving the Cinemagraphs. The ones from the Magic Kingdom are just great.

That's so funny that everyone was asking you what's going on with all the cameras and tripods! People see a group and they just assume something they need to know about is happening. :rotfl2:

Stupid ducks jacking up the shot! :lmao: It's stunning, not jacked up at all!

Woah! Tonga Toast being uprooted from it's favorite breakfast perch?! That's impressive. We were tossed up between GFC and the Captain's Grille for breakfast this last trip and we went with Captain's Grille. It was pretty good, so I can't complain.

That resort just looks absolutely stunning. Just beautiful.

Wow, those Louboutin's are pretty awesome.

I'm glad that the CM at Guest Relations was able to get everything taken care of for you quickly. That would have been frustrating!

you guys look too cute as Rapunzel and Flynn by the way. Nice work on the smolder!

Can you turn your ears off?! Seriously, Disney sells them for a reason! I hope they really catch on in WDW, because the sea of them that is in Disneyland is crazy!

I love Sally! She would be such a fun character to play.

Wow! Private bus and all. That's pretty cool.

Still here! Oh my goodness, the party looks like it was so much fun! I like that y'all got a picture in front of the Kingdom of Corona. How very appropriate.

*applause applause!*

What a wonderful trip report! I can't wait to read more! The wedding was beautiful and the Disney touches were perfect!! The best part was how happy and beaming the two of you were! And the Disney report part was fantastic as always - what lush photography and fun cinemagraphs! I especially loved seeing the GFV photos as I had not seen any sketches or anything of those rooms until today. Your reports are so entertaining and beautifully photographed - they are a joy to read. Excited for the next parts!

Ok! I just decided I either need to win the lottery or marry rich because I now (even more) want to go to WDW for the Halloween Party and get DVC... and my teacher's salary just doesn't cut it! Good thing I really love my job!

Hi there!!

Just a little note to say that I saw you guys at Disney on Ice on Saturday!! I was sitting a few rows in front of you with my DH and DD...and turned around during intermission and recognized you!

I felt funny introducing myself (although maybe its more weird that I didn't?!) -- either way, I'm shy....but was very excited to see you in person! Like DIS celebrities! :goodvibes

Hope you enjoyed the show! We loved it!

Hi there and Congratulations!!! :bride:
I found a link to one of your TR's from a Beach/Yacht Club page and I have been pouring over your trip reports since!! I started with the proposal and just caught up with the Disneymoon! You have me hooked! I'm sure you have heard it a thousand times if not more... but it must be said again... WOW! The wedding, the proposal, the pictures.. le sigh.. amazing! I cant wait to hear more (and catch up with the other 2 TR's).
We are looking forward to our very first stay at Beach Club for Food and Wine in late Sept and I have absorbed your tips for touring the Festival! Thanks again for sharing! :goodvibes

Can't believe I am only just finding this report now! I've been waiting to see your wedding pics and you look stunning! Stunning! :) Can't wait to read all about your Disneymoon :)

The pic of you two in the Tangled area is absolutely adorable!

I'm really surprised they kept the line open for Jack & Sally that late knowing it would be well after midnight before you were able to meet them! That's pretty cool. And it was probably a good choice, because even though you waited over an hour, it wasn't like you could have been doing anything else in that hour anyway!

Thanks Kristy! That photo was high on our must-do list at the party. We couldn't let those costumes go to waste! The character lines at the Halloween parties are always an enigma, some they allow you to hop in right up until midnight -- others get shut down before the party's official end. We totally lucked out in getting into that line right before it closed.

What awesome updates from the party!! It really looks like you've got some amazing shots from parades, shows, even just around the parks! I definitely know the pirate parade performer you got a picture of, do you mind if I share that photo with him?

Amazing interaction with Rapunzel & Flynn, they're always so much fun!! Glad that you exchanged satchel secrets too!

Caseys is totally the best snack place to go to at mnsshp, some corn dog nuggets really hit the spot!! NOM!

Ugh, I miss halloween sooo much, especially at Disney!! It's just so much more magical and awesome, and dressing up makes the night SO much better!

This past year I did 4 parties, lol! One as Wendy:

Two parties as Tink (with my Mom as Peter!)

and then with the best friends as Sally & Ursula

And one as Alice with the best friends as Wendy & Prince Eric

I CANNOT wait for next year!! We have at this point, 3 parties planned, going as the Bimbettes & Gaston, Move It Shake It dancers, and the fairy friends (terrance, rosetta and vidia!)

You can ALWAYS share any of Franklin's photos, feel free! We had so much fun with Rapunzel and Flynn, they were an awesome highlight from the party.

Your photos are just great, awesome costumes all around! And you've got three parties planned? I'm so jealous. I'm hoping against hope that those 7 p.m. closings at MK during Labor Day weekend are the first two parties (which would mean I wouldn't have to skip MNSSHP this year!).

I got a little bit behind, but I had to let you know that I actually gasped at the Splash Mountain cinemagraph! At first I was just excited to see a beautiful picture of my favorite ride, then it started moving and I was shocked!

That is such a cute interaction with Rapunzel and Flynn, especially them wanting to know what was in Franklin's satchel!

Love the Hallowishes photos! I was pretty underwhelmed by Holiday Wishes so I feel like I need to see Hallowishes ASAP to complete the trifecta, plus I hear they're much better.

Just liked the Facebook page and followed you both on Twitter! Great idea for the FB page :thumbsup2

The candy corns do look a little awkward, more like traffic cones than candy!

That's awesome that you were still able to get in line! I know that at our MVMCP, they had cut off the Mary Poppins line at 11:15 and I was really surprised. I think you guys made a good call though, they're so rare that it's definitely worth a longer wait!

You're not the first person to say they were underwhelmed by the holiday fireworks/party. We're trying MVMCP this year, so I'll finally be able to compare it to Halloween!

Thanks for following us over to Facebook, we're glad to have you!

And you are sooooo right about the candy corns, they were so awkward and felt so out of place.

I'm glad we did Jack and Sally at the end of the night, we got to meet two rare characters without really wasting much party time at all!

ok, in the least "guy" thin I have every said/written ... I love your shoes!

Franklin's cuff-links are awesome! I would so wear those all the time!

great idea with the screen to cover the HVAC unit!

so sweet how you got to now your cake maker!

love the picture of Franklin taking a picture of you. Also the pictures of you guys in the picture booth are great!

*********************

Disney weddings can make even the toughest guys notice things like shoes. ;)

Thank you, we love how all the pictures turned out too!!

ok - actually TR comments

Your costumes look great! so fun!

That is so nice of the CM to give you a FP anytime card ... definitely things like that add magic to being at Disney

Love Franklin's picture going through the "tube" in Space Mountain

more super cook cinemagraphs - seriously, Disney should use them on their website

seems like a great meet & greet with Repunzel and Flynn - good job out of Franklin making him promise not to tell

what a great spot for Hallowishes! The castle is prefectly centered!

ok, following your Facebook page :D

dang - I bet a frying pan doesn't work so well against ghosts ;)

We had so much fun at the Halloween party, it's hard not to have fun! Thanks for joining us on Facebook! :goodvibes

Looks like a great party night!!

Amazing bus pixie dust!!!

I hadn't watched Nightmare Before Christmas all the way through until this past year, you must watch it! It is really that good. The CMs at Haunted Mansion are one of my favorite details of MNSSHP, they're just perfect!

We toured the VGF lobby last month after seeing those gorgeous photos that Franklin took. My iPhone camera doesn't capture the beauty of it.

You better be prepared to be at the WL for awhile if Franklin brings his camera. That resort is gorgeous with a million photo ops. ;) He won't be able to stop taking pictures. :goodvibes

I'm glad you got to tour VGF, even Franklin's gorgeous photos don't capture just how beautiful it is! 179 days until we check in there for the first time. Not that I'm counting or anything. :rolleyes1

We might actually plan to spend a few hours at WL in August, just exploring the resort. So stay tuned!

All right! Getting caught up from vacation. :thumbsup2

I'm really loving the Cinemagraphs. The ones from the Magic Kingdom are just great.

Stupid ducks jacking up the shot! :lmao: It's stunning, not jacked up at all!

And what a vacation it was, it looked like a lot of fun (from Facebook anyway!)

It did look funny to just see this sea of tripods anywhere the group went.

I liked the ducks in the castle shot! (She says quietly as she steps away from her photographer husband)

I believe, and Franklin correct me if I'm wrong, his new Disney breakfast hierarchy looks like this:

GFC lobster eggs benedict
Kona Tonga Toast
Captain's Grille lobster omelet

And fun fact about Captain's Grille, you can order eggs made to order or an omelet as part of the buffet!

Wow, those Louboutin's are pretty awesome.

I'm glad that the CM at Guest Relations was able to get everything taken care of for you quickly. That would have been frustrating!

you guys look too cute as Rapunzel and Flynn by the way. Nice work on the smolder!

The City Hall CM was awesome, the CM at the rose garden ... not so much.

Can you turn your ears off?! Seriously, Disney sells them for a reason! I hope they really catch on in WDW, because the sea of them that is in Disneyland is crazy!

I love Sally! She would be such a fun character to play.

Wow! Private bus and all. That's pretty cool.

I love, love, LOVE the Glow with the Show ears and really hope they catch on at WDW. They're redesigning the ears so they're less heavy, so maybe more people will want them.

The private chariot back to CR was some awesome pixie dust.

Still here! Oh my goodness, the party looks like it was so much fun! I like that y'all got a picture in front of the Kingdom of Corona. How very appropriate.

You are right on both accounts, though I'd aim for MNSSHP first (it's a little more attainable than DVC).

Great trip report! Love your wedding pics.

Thank you!!!

I wish you would have said hi!!! We're not too scary to talk to, right? We loved the show. But even more important, we loved watching our nephew watch the show.

Thanks! You will looooooove BC, especially during F&W. Make sure you give yourself a resort day to enjoy Stormalong Bay (then maybe wander over for some F&W kiosks action that evening).

If you have any F&W planning questions, send them our way here (or on our Facebook page!), we're happy to help!

Can't believe I am only just finding this report now! I've been waiting to see your wedding pics and you look stunning! Stunning! :) Can't wait to read all about your Disneymoon :)

Glad you found us!

Welcome back friends! We last left off with yet another magical Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We had an amazing night and closed down the park at 1 a.m., so in a shock to no one, we let ourselves sleep in the next day. We spent some time at Stormalong Bay, and the hot tub really felt good on our aching feet. We even randomly ran into a woman who was in my October trip Facebook group! Such a small world!

The only thing we had on our schedule for the day was a lunch with the photography group at Via Napoli. So right around lunchtime, we set out for Epcot. I can't ever get enough of the Epcot resort scenery.

DSC_1275-L.jpg

We met up with Franklin’s photography buddies, we had the long table in the middle of the restaurant.

DSC_1284-L.jpg

Franklin and I had the risotto balls and a spicy Italian sausage pizza. Sadly, Franklin forgot to take a picture of the pizza.
We were having too much fun!

DSC_1281-L.jpg

It was so nice to sit around and get to know all these people. It was cool to hear Franklin talk photography with all these people who love it as much as he does. And I enjoyed getting to know the spouses and hear all about everyone’s Disney habits. It’s always nice to talk to people who are as crazy about Disney as we are!

We decided against dessert because we knew we couldn’t resist a little more Food and Wine Festival time (since we were already in the World Showcase, after all). We started our F&W time in the good old U.S. of A.

Franklin got a lobster tail.

DSC_1285-L.jpg

I had to make a quick detour to the brand new bathrooms in the American pavilion.
There are a million of them (each one is desperately needed in this area).

DSC_1287-L.jpg

We split a slider from the new Florida kiosk.

DSC_1288-L.jpg

It was really yummy, super juicy!

Next, I tried the chicken teriyaki sushi from Japan.

DSC_1289-L.jpg

It was a little odd, but still very tasty. Franklin grabbed the mussels from New Zealand and I grabbed a waffle and beer from Belgium. We grabbed a seat on the patio near the Belgian kiosk to enjoy the goodies. And for the record, this is the first time in four F&W trips that we managed to grab a photo of the Belgian waffle BEFORE taking a bite! Progress!

We were both fairly full, but there was one more F&W stop we had to make before leaving the park: Canada!

DSC_1293-L.jpg

Mmmm, cheese soup and mushroom filet. A must-do at F&W. It was starting to get really warm out, so we headed back to Yacht Club.

DSC_1299-L.jpg

Franklin wanted to do a bit of a YC photo shoot.

We’ll leave off there, with us enjoying some quiet time at YC. We just loved spending time at this resort!

Awesome pics! I love the sound of a sleep in day and relaxing morning in that area, so pretty and quiet!! Lol.

SO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD!! I’m so happy I’ll be there for both flower & garden and food & wine this year!! More chances to eat that delicious food! Lol.

I did not know that about the YC lighthouse, HOW NEAT! And again, amazing pictures!

Also what are your spring/sww dates??

Somehow I missed the last few updates, so I just thoroughly enjoyed the last half hour!! :goodvibes
VGF--amazing!! I had seen other pictures, but these made me really want to stay there!! That lobby!! Wow!!
Love all the Disney details in your wedding! Everything was so beautiful and elegant!
The cinemagraphs continue to amaze!! Big Thunder is one of my favorite rides in the world!
Love the hitchhiking ghosts pictures!! Both the magic shots with you and the ones on the ride. They are my favorite!!!!!
Did not know that about the Yacht Club lighthouse! How cool!

Looking at these fantastic photos from F&WF, I'm bummed at home much I obviously missed while we were there this past Oct! You have sooo made me excited to get back aaaand even try a few new menu items!! :)

Sounds like a very fun lunch ... Which was followed by food of course ;)

I didn't know that about the lighthouse doors - very cool!

Wow, loved your Halloween party costumes! That meet with Rapunzel and Flynn was perfect! I just love character meets like that.

And yes, those photos that move (i forget what they are called) are so cool. I am like mesmorized. Franklin is soo talented! I just recently took photos of my friend's baby and I took them all in RAW but now I have no idea how to edit them in lightroom! I need to hire Franklin as my teacher.

BTW I just added you on facebook :) and I liked your new facebook page
