Wait - We're staying Where? and When????

I love the Inner Harbor area! When Emily lived in Baltimore, that was a favorite place for us to go. So, you must live almost to the end of PA? BTW, how is Jim adjusting to his new digs?

We live just over the Mason-Dixon line in PA - but I grew up in Baltimore, which is only about 45 minutes to the Inner Harbor from home.

Tell me why you love Universal so. I've never been and wondering if I should give it a try one of these trips. If it's just Harry Potter, I get that. But since I'm not a huge HP fan (don't dislike, just not my fav), I was wondering about the rest of Universal.

I don't know that I love Universal, but we have been a couple of times. I prefer the Universal side as opposed to the Islands of Adventure, but since you are a roller coaster/thrill ride fan, you would probably really like Islands of Adventure. One of my favorite rides is on the Universal side - Men in Black! Its similar to the Toy Story or Buzz Lightyear rides, except you shoot aliens!

Glad you're getting things done in the sewing room…and for those cute little ankle biters of Mo's, even more fun!! Have a great day!

I really need to spend more time in the sewing room so I can get everything I need to do finished.
I am still in tears knowing you did all this for my kids..

I got started and kept thinking of more things to make :confused3 what can I say????

can you post pictures of the new cars?!?! i would love to see them!

I'll try to remember to take pictures tomorrow - today was hectic....

Why does it take so ling for a dang car?!?! it usually a full day to buy one!!! :sad2:

Did you come up with an idea in what you are doing for MNSSHP?

No not yet, but Charlie asks me every day pirate:

I want to see pics of the cars too. I have had my van forever (10 years) and thinking of maybe getting a new one. I like seeing what other people decide on.

Loved seeing all of your stuff you worked on yesterday on FB.

Thanks! I love using my embroidery machine!

****************
Since Walmart has iphone 5's at a reduced price, Charlie and I decided to upgrade from our 4's. He needed more memory and I went along for the ride.... I ended up having to go to 2 different Walmarts before I found 2 phones. Why do they advertise items if they are not going to stock them?????

Anyway, I'm having trouble getting them activated, so it might have to wait until tomorrow. The sales kid at walmart made several mistakes on my contract - wrong city, wrong zipcode, etc. We are also having a problem getting Charlie's phone synced. UGH!!!!

Charlie signed us up at the gym again for the summer, so I get to go tomorrow after work. I have to remember to take workout clothes to work with me.

Its going to be a busy week for us, but luckily I have a 3 day weekend coming up.

I thought tomorrow was my day to get fp+, but I was mistaken. I have to wait until Friday before I can do on-line check in and reserve fp+s. Oh well, it is coming soon! I'm not even sure which parks we are going to be in on a couple of days, so I really need to firm up plans.

I am going to this store over here to see how much for the shirts.. I'll let you know the Price!

New cars New phones! Look at you!!! :thumbsup2 Fantastic!!!

Hope you didn't have horrible weather last night?!?!

That is a ridiculous amount of time on paperwork for cars that you weren't even financing. :headache:

Sorry for having to go to more than one store for the phones. I hate it too when they advertise and then don't have WHAT they advertised to begin with.

Nope, no bad weather here - a few storms but not too bad.

I thought it was kind of ridiculous too, but in the end we got our cars! Glad I found a store that actually had 2 of the phones I wanted without having to go to yet another store.

So we are at 60 days today! :cool1::cool1::beach:pixiedust:pixiedust::beach::drive:

That means making fastpass+. I sat down with Charlie and we decided which days we will be in which park and which rides we wanted to get fp+ for. Honestly, I don't know that we actually really NEED fps, but I got them anyway.

I made them all for morning hours or as close as I could get to morning hours, that way, if we actually need one for a ride we can pick it up later.

We also decided to keep a couple of days open - one I think we might go to Typhoon Lagoon because I think we will need a break by the end of the first week. We also have a couple of down days during the following week too, so we can keep our schedule flexible.

I also purchased our tickets for Universal this morning from AAA. They seemed to have the best prices.

Now, I just have to finish making customs and pack and wait, and wait, and wait.....:coffee:

Glad I have another trip planned....

I'm going to Tennessee at the end of the month to spend a week with my quilting friends. Haven't seen them for over a year and I need some fabric therapy. I also have a couple of quilts that I haven't been able to get finished at home, so I'm hoping to make progress on them during my vacation week.

Today, I finished up Meg's Duffy dress. I still have to take pictures of it to put in my photobucket account, so I don't have any to show you.

I added Swen to the back of Charlie's Olaf shirt and made him a "heartbeat of a Disney addict" shirt. Still have to do mine, as well as a few more.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!

This is NO JOKE... i finally sat and looked at everything.. Sept people don't need FP for malestorm. or Muppets.
we do need FP+ for the bigger attractions! Oh i plan on ranting about this in my own PTR not yours sorry!!!

This is GREAT NEWS!!! I still would LOVE to go!!! I don't think we can make it this year!

Now, I just have to finish making customs and pack and wait, and wait, and wait.....:coffee:

this waiting is for the birds... More customs???

Glad I have another trip planned....

How do i not know this???

sent lots of PICTURES!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I am just so bouncing OFF MY CHAIR ABOUT THIS!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I added Swen to the back of Charlie's Olaf shirt and made him a "heartbeat of a Disney addict" shirt. Still have to do mine, as well as a few more.

Need pictures of this too please.... :rolleyes1

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!

We had one of the best 4ths we've ever had! Hope you have the same!!!! :flower3:

Love ya my friend!!!!

You are one busy lady! We are shopping phones too. Our contract with Sprint was up in May and we want to see what other carriers have to offer. Dan is trying to get the monthly cost down without losing anything we really need. He feels we may be paying for things we don't want or use. We may hold out for the iPhone 6 in October.

How are you liking your new car? Will you be driving down to Tennessee? Anyway, it sounds like a fun and potentially productive week for you.:thumbsup2

Glad you got the fp+ out of the way. I agree that many of them won't be necessary at all in September, but with the tier system, there is really no choice. A day at the water park sounds like fun. Dan doesn't want to go this year, but we only have 8 days, so I kinda get it. We'll make do with the pool. :beach:

If all else fails, you can wear your pirate costumes from last year. They are awesome, and it would be a shame to never wear them again. Anyway, with all you have to do, make it easy on yourself. No one has to know.:ssst:

Have a great day!

I don't think you ever need fps for Muppets - or any other show. Everyone has to wait for the next show anyway. It seems rather senseless to me. I'd rather be able to get one for the Great Movie Ride and Toy Story at the same time....

smart...

This is GREAT NEWS!!! I still would LOVE to go!!! I don't think we can make it this year!

We don't go to Universal every year. We went once a few years ago with Shannon - she was still in high school at the time, and it was only for one day, which was plenty for me. Then Charlie and I went 3 years ago when the WWof HP opened. We're big HP fans, so I want to go see the new Diagon Alley. I'm sure it will be crowded though.

this waiting is for the birds... More customs???

I have a few more to make....:rolleyes1

Back at 'cha!

I love my new car! And yes, I'll be driving to Tennessee, I've made this trip many times! There are 10 of us going and we are staying at a small quilting retreat place in the Smokey Mountains. There is a quilt shop right next door so we could shop in our pjs if we want to. I think we may have done that in the past :rotfl:

Have a great day!

I am taking your advice Lois and making a pair of animal print shorts for our AK day. I found a cute pattern and a great leopard print fabric. One more thing added to my list.

I did get several things accomplished this weekend. Finished Meg's Duffy dress,

finished my dd Kate's purse, sorry I didn't take a picture yet....

appliqued 2 shirts for Charlie - I added Swen to the back of his Olaf shirt and a "Heartbeat of a Disney addict" shirt for him.

I don't know why this is has a yellow tint to it. The shirt is blue...:confused3

Also appliqued 2 minions shirts for one of our dark side days.

I started on a Heartbeat shirt for me. I am doing them in 2 hoopings because I did a larger size design. Also started a new bag for me - can you guess my theme????

Wow, that is blurry - sorry about that....

Ok, that is my update for today. Did my on-line check in yesterday... didn't know what requests to make for BWV, so I didn't make any...

I also made these trick or treat bags for the munchkins. I designed the bags myself. I wanted them to be easy to carry, so I added straps so it can be a backpack, and handles so they could carry it like a regular bag. I also wanted a way to close them so the candy won't fall out if the kids get on rides so I added a cinch cord around the top.

Oh my giddy aunt! That dress for Meg is soooo cute! You have mad skills, as I already knew, but…WOW!

Also those bags for the kids are adorable. I like seeing them a little closer than the pic on FB. Are their names done in appliqué? They look stippled. How did you do that?

Love the shirts you've done so far. We get more comments on our heartbeat shirts than any other shirts we wear. The CMs just go mad for them! Can't wait to see the AK outfits! And the villain bag! I need to get on my horse and get something done for our trip. You're putting me to shame.

Fabric shopping in your jammies…now that's a dream come true! Sounds like such a fun group. I don't have anyone near me who sews. Dan's boss does a lot of quilting. She even has a long arm machine, but she works all day and can't come and play with me. She wants to open a quilt shop when she retires and I told her to hurry up and retire so I can work there!

:faint:

I am speechless... i am absolutely speechless.

My gratitude.. your an amazing person Tess. I just love the dickens out of you...

Now i am going to the bathroom and fix my makeup from the tears of joy..

Although I just don't get the whole Duffy craze, I have to say that dress is adorable. I'm loving the t-shirt with the heart of a Disney addict...so perfect!

And the bags you made Mo's kids are simply adorable.

So you were at 60 days on Friday, so you are at 56 now (my age). :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I love the heartbeat shirt. So cute. I did online check in too. I wasn't sure what to request at Pop, so hopefully, I did ok. Our 60 day was last Tuesday, so you are arriving while we are still there. We might run into each other. I cannot believe it is 54 days till I am there.

I saw the photos of the goodies you made for the munchkins on facebook, but I have to say again, I just LOVE that Duffy dress! So perfect! All the other fun things are totally awesome as well! You are very talented! :)

Its a font I bought from Jolsons - I think its the Jester font.

Do you quilt Lois? I met all of these wonderful ladies through an on-line quilting group. I've been a member there for about 10 years and have gone on many quilting retreats with them. I'd love to have you join in with us!

I'm not really that into Duffy either, but the pattern was cute!

And the bags you made Mo's kids are simply adorable.

I love how these bags turned out! My kids had Trick or Treat bags that I made for them (from a panel fabric) when they were young enough to go out and beg for candy, so I thought this might be a good idea for the munchkins.

Thanks!

Sorry I've been MIA. We had a major storm come through town on Tuesday - it lasted all of about 5 minutes but had straight line winds of 60-70 mph. Took down many trees in town, one fell across power lines and took down a telephone pole, right across Main St. Power was out for the entire borough for about 24 hours. The top blew off the new water tank in town too. A large tree at our newest little park was also damaged, the winds blew a wooden picnic table over, but it doesn't look like the tree limbs damaged our little heritage museum.

We had absolutely no damage here at my house, thank the Lord. Lots of people had generators though, after we lost power back in February during that ice storm. It was pretty noisy trying to sleep on Tuesday evening. LOL

I had planned to start sewing on my clothes on Tuesday and was in my sewing room when the power went out. I did remember to turn off the machines, but could not turn off the tv. I told Charlie that when the power came back on to make sure to turn it off.

We went to the Orioles game last night with my brother. Kate sponsored a fund raiser for her Cupid's Undie Run group. She sold about 75 tickets, so it was a good turn out.

When we got home the lights were on and the tvs were blaring - :rotfl2:

Also, Kate told us that she accepted a job with NYU- Tisch school as a production coordinator. While I am happy that she found a good job, doing what she does best - organizing theater stuff, I am so very sad that she will be moving from Baltimore. I know that this is a good move for her and for her future, but it still makes this mother a bit sad.:(

Nothing else new on the Disney front, but I hope to get some sewing done this weekend - who knows what I will come up with?????

So much destruction; glad it wasn't anything too major.

I read about this on FB. I'm glad no damage to your home.

Awww...I'm sorry to hear this. I hate that our youngest lives 3-1/2 hours away (although I shouldn't let it bother me since we move to Florida it will be even further)

Nothing else new on the Disney front, but I hope to get some sewing done this weekend - who knows what I will come up with?????

I hope you'll share with us.

I'm so glad you got that new generator! Glad, too, that the damage was minimal in your area. Storms can be so scary!::yes::

Thanks for the info on the font. Sadly, no, I do not quilt. I have my Grandmothers old quilt frame that I believe was her grandmother's. I know it's all done by machine now, but I can't seem to get rid of it. I have a cousin who quilts like a mad woman. And I think the modern quilts are absolutely beautiful.

I know how you feel about Kate moving to NY. One by one we had to let go of all of our four kids. But we raised them to follow their heart and their dreams, so we can't complain. Our closest one is 2 1/2 hours away, but they are so busy, we seldom see them. We have of course Jennifer in Virginia, Emily in Colorado (Italy right now) and Jeremy is in Florida. We have lots of places to visit. But I feel your pain. It is a very difficult adjustment. I hope you'll be able to visit her often and that she'll be able to come home a lot. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for her. Congrats to her!:thumbsup2

BTW, how is Kat doing? Hopefully she's getting better every day.

Have a wonderful weekend!:flower3:

Oh, that is sad. My daughter has decided to study Japanese and International Relations, so I know there isn't going to be a job for her locally when she graduates. Hard to let them move on.

You are so right Lois, we did raise our kids to follow their dreams, and I can honestly say that I believe they are doing just that. None of them are that far from home, except Shannon, so visiting is fairly easy. My closest son is only about 10 minutes away, if that, so at least I have one cub close by. :rotfl:

Oh, that is sad. My daughter has decided to study Japanese and International Relations, so I know there isn't going to be a job for her locally when she graduates. Hard to let them move on.

It is hard, but they need to fly the coop at some point and at least I know they are doing what they love!

************
I spent yesterday in my sewing room and may go back down there today. I finished up my Villains bag - no picture yet, but I promise one soon.

I finished 2 more t-shirts for the kids and finished my Heartbeat tank - I had more trouble with my machine on this shirt than I've ever had. I think it was the sticky stabilizer I was using.

I also finished another shirt for Charlie and my animal print shorts. I still have some hand sewing to do on the shorts, but for the most part they are finished. Not sure I like the pattern because it has pleats and honestly I don't care for pleats, but we shall see how they look once I finish the tank to go with them.

Today, I have a princess dress to work on, but first I need to make a quick run to the grocery store. Tonight we are going to my son & dil's house for a cookout.:woohoo:

Have a great day!

Sounds like a fun filled weekend. I went down Saturday to sew and my machine was not having any of it! Finally Dan went down Sunday to see if he could fix it, and of course it worked fine. grr! Hope you got a lot done. And can't wait to see the Villain bag!!!

Hi There!

So glad to see you back with Electricity!!!! :yay:

I was worried about you all weekend!!! Glad you had a good weekend along with your favorite team! :cheer2:

Sorry kate is moving away... :sad1: maybe i should move by you...

I need out of Chicago.
