Wait - We're staying Where? and When????

I bet! It will be a day of celebration when they get there though! :)

Closing documents finally arrived via email today. They are printed and signed and ready to go in the mail tomorrow, as soon as I get a cashiers check for the balance.

My bank account will certainly be a lot leaner....

Once the title company gets all the signed documents from both us and the seller, they will be sent to Disney. Then we have to wait for Disney to assign us a member number and put the points in our account.

THEN, I can make reservations for our trips next year. We are going for 3 days in March, if I can get a reservation anywhere, for the Flower & Garden Show - something I've wanted to do for quite awhile now.

And then our big trip in September. It will be at least 11 days, since we are also going to visit Universal for at least one day. Charlie wants to do a water park too, so we will add that in to the mix too.

Other than making reservations once we get our member number, and listing ADRs we might want, I probably will not be doing much detailed planning until after the holidays. Though I always have Disney plans running through my mind - maybe that's why I can't remember much else that's going on! ::yes::

YEAH closing papers. Hope everything else goes smoothly as you plan away. y Mom wants to Flower and Garden as well someday...fun times

This is SOOOO EXCITING!!! I dream of the day I get to own DVC - it is not in the cards now, but I am hoping that once the girls are out of college...

Both of your trips sound awesome!!! 11 days!!!!!!!! Ahhhh.... That sounds wonderful! I cannot wait to hear all about it!

I am sure you will be able to find a room for F&G... It lasts so long, there's bound to be somewhere that can take you. :)

I decided that since we were planning to go in March, I should think about making dining reservations for the 2 nights we are planning to be there. I wanted to try some new restaurants this time, and since we are only planning on going to EPCOT, I made reservations at Biergarten and Teppan Edo.

I'm looking forward to some new adventures!

This is so exciting...very happy for you. :)

I'm looking forward to some new adventures!

We really enjoyed Teppan Edo when we last December for hubby's surprise 60th birthday. The entertainment of the cooking very good and the food was very good.

We used to be a fan of Biergarten but was very disappointed in it last time. I know a lot of people love it though.

I agree - ADRs are a must. I am ashamed to admit, we have never eaten at either of those restaurants. I know that we must do Biergarten eventually though - it looks like so much fun! And so many people rave about it!

I was certainly surprised that there seemed to be plenty of ADR times available at both of those restaurants. I checked out a couple of others too, before I made the reservations and it does not seem to be all that crowded. I thought with it being in March and during Flower & Garden that it would be harder to find some where to eat.

:confused3

I think it really depends on when everyone has spring break... We went in March of 2012 and the crowds were very nice until the last few days we were there. And the weather was amazing! I am so glad you were able to find good ADR times at the places you wanted! :)

We are now official DVC members! Now we just need to get paperwork from Disney.... more waiting.... from what I understand this phase can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 30 days for Disney to process the transfer and assign a membership number and create an account for us. Its all good. The points will be there soon and then I can start seriously planning our next trip!

We decided on an itinerary for our trip in March, just need to decide where we are going to stay. Charlie wants to stay somewhere on the water when we go to Bradenton/Sarasota, but I'm not finding much available. I guess its spring break time. I don't mind if we stay elsewhere because the beach is close anyway.

So far, our plans are as follows:

Saturday - leave early - about 3:00 am. :drive: We are driving and I want to get through Washington DC/northern VA before traffic starts to back up. Drive until we don't want to drive any longer. I'm hoping to get to Savannah at least.

Sunday - up early for the final leg of our trip. There is an Orioles/Pirates game in Sarasota in the afternoon that I'd like to attend, since the purpose of this trip is to go to spring training!

Monday - Orioles/Pirates game in Bradenton in the afternoon.

Tuesday - Beach day/O's game

Wednesday - Orioles game/Ringling Bros museum

Thursday - pack up and head north to Orlando - check in to our resort (still don't know where yet) and then head over to EPCOT for the Flower & Garden show. We have a dinner ressie at Biergarten tonight.

Friday - spend the day in EPCOT - dinner at Teppen Edo

Saturday - we can go to EPCOT again, or stay at the pool, or go to DTD, or whatever, before we pack up and head for home. We are planning on at least a 1/2 day before we leave.

Sunday - arrive back home.:drive:

Congratulations Tess!!!!!!!!!! I am super excited for you! I cannot wait until you are able to book and really plan!!! Yay! OK - take that back - I guess you've already really planned. LOL

Hi Mo, welcome back. I just figured you were way too busy to get over here.

Yep, Charlie and I bit the bullet and bought into DVC. Boardwalk Villas is our home resort and I cannot wait to book our September trip! I still have my ressie at CBR, but once I get the confirmation on BWV (hopefully), I will cancel it.

My son, Andrew, sent me an email, telling me that he will be able to get us comp tickets for any Pirates games we want to go to! We are going to have to decide where we will be staying soon. Guess I'll talk to Charlie this weekend so we can tie something down.

Good morning Tess... I know I am a bit early - but I won't have time to do this tomorrow. So, I hope you and Charlie have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. We had a wonderful day and evening. Went shopping today - but I waited until about 10 before I ventured out. Still got everything I wanted to get, so I'm happy.

We made our hotel reservations for the Sarasota portion of our trip. Andrew does not know yet when he will be there, so I'm hoping that he will find out soon.

Still waiting for the membership paperwork from Disney, but I'm hoping it will come early next week. I'm getting anxious to tie down our reservations, both for March and for September.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

We received our DVC membership number in the mail on Saturday, though the rest of the paperwork will take another 10 days or so. I was able to call and book a studio for the 2 days in March when we plan to be there. I wanted our "home" resort, however only 1 of the rooms was available, so we booked at the Animal Kingdom Lodge instead.

Since we want to check out all the resorts, this works out for us, though since I am only planning to go to Epcot this trip, its not as convenient. Oh well, its still Disney!

I wasn't online much over the holiday. I went shopping on Friday - went to Joanns, Kohls, the mall and Walmart. I waited in line at both Joanns and Kohls but got most of what I went out for. Never did make it to Target though. I spent Saturday and Sunday in the sewing room - I nearly have the next 2 rows to Kate's quilt finished and I made a purse with a Hello Kitty applique for our Angel tree at work. We buy gifts for the residents of a group home that have little to no family members. This is the second year in a row that we have had the same 3 individuals.

Still have lots to finish, but at least I don't have to worry about our March trip now.

Have a great day, or not, its your choice!

Yay for booking... Bummer that it isn't your home resort... YOu can keep checking though right?

SOunds like you had a successful weekend. :)

I love all you do to help others! :thumbsup2

AKL!!! I love that resort. I am torn between that and the Boardwalk for our September trip (we ended up loving the Boardwalk); the only thing holding me back is the pool at the Boardwalk.
