Hello,
I am planning a trip to US and IOA for July 30 and 31, 2016. We are also going the 29th but just the evening. I am using a particular company that helps you plan which ride to do first, second and so forth. When I input the information, it states waits of Shrek 4 minutes, ET 1 minute, Escape From Grigotts 4 minutes. Does this sound correct to those of you who have been at this time and have used the skip the line option? It seems to good to be true.
Thanks

Touring Plans?

For end of July a wait of 4 minutes....is that the line wait?

And 1 minute for ET?

I don't feel that is accurate
Don't see it possible

Maybe the TP company will revise those numbers later that month

Yes that was the line wait with touring plans. I too think something is off. What should I expect for line waits at attractions with skip the line? Thanks for confirming my suspicion.

For express pass most of the time it's 15 minutes and under. There is only one skip the line and that's a vip tour.

"On average, the wait through the Express line should be around 15 minutes, depending on how many people go to the same ride at the same time..."

Can't tell you how many times I spieled that when I was a manager there years ago... We head back to PBH in Aug so I'll see if that still holds true...

last year when i was in the park, the TM's said ep lines could be up to 20 minutes.

never had that long of a wait though

well, one exception was DE last year when a section of the seats were removed for repair work

but the ep line was a heck of a lot shorter than the regular line...

The phrase "skip the regular line" just refers to skipping the stand-by line and going into the express line. It isn't actually called "skip the line". I would estimate 10-20 minutes for express.

Yes.

It's not a *thing*; "Skip the Line". It's a description; that you skip the regular line. And you do.

But there's still a line of others with Express Pass in front of you. It's just generally shorter.

Once we stay onsite and have unlimited Express Pass that's as much planning get as we do. We don't plan to the minute like we do with WDW.

The express pass lines are very dependent on other factors.
For example, I used the Express Pass in both Simpsons Ride and MIB -- where wait times were posted as about 30 minutes. In both cases, they were having technical issues with the rides, limiting the number of "vehicles" available. As a result, they were holding back the express passes quite a bit -- I still had 15+ minute lines. So only saved about half the time. At Ripsaw falls when there was a 50 minute posted wait, it was still 20 minutes with Express pass.

That said, with AND without express pass, the lines were minimal in the morning. And this was July 4th weekend -- So super heavy crowds, but low lines before 10 am.
At 8:15 am, Spiderman was walk-on, for example. Shrek, ET... you will essentially "walk on" to the next available show, but if you just miss a load, it will be another few minutes.

Gringotts.... Doesn't take express pass. It will only be 4 minutes if you get to the park first thing, for early entry. We essentially walked on, but we were at the park by 6:30 am for 7 am opening.

Thanks havoc315. Great info to know. We are planning on getting to the parks for opening.

Earlier in the morning and later towards park closing will always be the best.

Water rides will always have more of a wait in the warmer months.

This 4th of July was way off on crowds, please don't take it as normal.
