Wait Times Today

2 hours for P-Flyers!? Ahahaha that's nuts!

Disney wait times are just as bad, if not worse.

As of now, Hulk is up to 110 mins and Spiderman is up to 125 mins.
Pteranodon Flyers = 120 mins.

Wish Disney would put their wait times online, that'd be crazy to view too.

Where can you see the Universal wait times? I looked on the Universal website and didn't see them there...:confused:

Those wait times are horrible, still not as bad as Christmas though, I still remember Shrek was 150, MiB was 150, Jaws was 90, ET was 90, Jimmy Neutron was 120, Twister was 45, Terminator was 45. I can't imagine waiting 150 minutes for any ride.

We were at IoA for 9am yesterday; we did Spiderman (10 minutes), Jurassic Park (5 minutes), and Duelling Dragons (said 10 minutes, was 20) by 10am. After that the waits were obscene. Did the Carousel, 5 minutes. Bluto's Barges was down for maintenance first thing in the morning; we rode it at 11am with a 15 minute wait shortly after it reopened.

By the time we left at 1pm, the wait times were over an hour for almost all attractions.

We went back in the evening - 7.30pm there was a 30 minute wait for the Cat in the Hat but we waited anyway. Went over to Universal, Shrek supposedly had a 15 minute wait but we waited for 30 minutes.

It's absolutely insane at the moment, Spidey had a 35 minute wait at 9.10am!

Credit Crunch? What credit Crunch!?! :rotfl:
This kind maybe? :confused3

Thanks for posting the link. I've programmed it into my BlackBerry for future use. Originally I was planning to stay at the Hard Rock on our first trip to Universal Studios so that we could get the FOTL passes. However, since my daughter will only be seven on our October trip she has suggested that we stay at the Nick Hotel instead.

Now here comes the question... Do you think that we will need FOTL passes in October 24 - 29? It is considered REGULAR season.

the 24th and 25th will be very busy in the parks starting around 2ish.
the studios side will close at 5:00 due to the HHN hard ticket event for those evenings.

were you planning to do universal for all the days you listed above?

i wouldn't think the park would be too bad for crowds on the monday and tuesday that week.(26-27)

some years wed and thurs at the end of the month have the HHN event.
until the hhn schedule is out, can comment on the rest of the days for you.

if you are planning to spend each day at universal parks, go early and you should be fine without crowd issues.

people usually start entering the park around 2ish when hhn is happening.
for the last wed and thur of that week, i wouldn't think it would be crowded until around 3:30-4.

this is only for the studio side of the parks.
they close at 5 and ioa will close later.

best idea is to do the studio side of the park early, leave there around 3ish for ioa. enjoy that park until closing time.

that way, you avoid crowds.

you won't need fotl if you move to another park when the studio side gets crowds.

Just saw these waits posted.... :scared:

Please, somebody tell me that the days right after Memorial Monday will not be like this!!!! :worship:

Of course, we won't be riding most of the really big coasters. My daughter is a bit scared and Daddy is a bit glad... Something about going upside down at a high rate of speed at this age...

I'm wondering about the accuracy of that site. Mummy at 60 mins. and Neutron at 50 mins. while the Simpsons is at 15 and MiB at 10? Don't think so! Here is what they are saying for today (Sat.) at noon:

Animal Actors = 12:45 (next show time)
Barney = 12:00 (next show time)
Beetlejuice = 11:45 (next show time)
Blues Brothers = 12:15 (next show time)
Disaster Studios = 30 mins.
E.T. Adventure = 10 mins.
Fear Factor = 12:00 (next show time)
Horror Show = 11:45 (next show time)
Jaws = 5 mins.
Jimmy Neutron = 50 mins.
Men In Black = 10 mins.
Mummy = 60 mins.
Shrek 4-D = 25 mins.
Terminator = 10:30 (next show time)
Terminator = 30 mins.
The Simpsons = 15 mins.
Twister = 15 mins.
Woody Coaster = 5 mins.

We were at Universal Studios last Wed, and IOA last Thursday. It was our first visit and we weren't sure what to expect although we are WDW vets. Universal was crowded, but manageable. We didn't have FOTL or Express passes and planned to just wait in line. The longest line we waited in was for Disaster at 75 minutes. We used "single rider" lines whenever possible. The only ride we didn't get on was Simpsons as the wait was 120 minutes.

On Thursday we headed right to the back of the park for Dueling Dragons and rode both sides with no wait. Again, by using single rider we got on everything we wanted, except for Hulk. The wait time was 45 minutes at 9:15am and we never saw it less than that for the rest of the day. IOA seemed more crowded to us than Universal, particularly the Seuss area.

My point is that even on crazy busy days you can manage to hit most rides without having FOTL passes, but you must be willing to do single rider.

We liked both parks very much, but decided that if we ever come back we will stay in a Universal hotel for the days we are at these parks.

That's the best thing to do...you can take your time w/o feeling rushed.

we'll be at US & IOA this coming weekend ( last day before Mardi Gras is over ) , i hope the crowd isn't too bad seeing that Nelly will be performing.

we plan on getting to US & IOA around 2 pm so we can stay for the final parade of the year which i believe starts at 9 pm ?
