It seems like many people on the boards have been purchasing the preferred dining (or picnic) packages, but I haven't been able to find a lot of info about current wait times for the FP line.

I've heard that the wait could be up to 90 minutes, but that was when the show first opened. Does anyone know what the current wait times are looking like?

Thanks!

I'm sure the wait for the first set is still kinda long in the morning. This Saturday I was able to head over to DCA at 1:45 and get a FP for 11:15 show Blue section. I watched the fireworks then headed over for my WoC show. The 11:15 didn't seem that busy, but I still made sure to get there before my FP time, as they let people line up about 15 minutes early.

EDIT: Oh I'll add this. It seemed the GC employees run a smaller crew for the 11:15. It was total mutiny against GC. Blue and Yellow merged and people were ducking under the ropes. Then like 3 minutes into the show GC comes around and collects all the ropes. This caused a bit of a shift in the crowd and a lot of people changed positions and it was quite messy. After the collect you FP people were like they'll never know where I'm really supposed to be. While waiting to be loaded in to the viewing area GC kept asking people to move closer together (move forward). After a while people were having none of that. The requests were met with blank stares back at the CMs. Probably didn't help that three or four managers (I guess) decided to have a chat right next to the line of people waiting.

Last Wednesday, I saw the line stretch from GRR to the plaza at Soarin'. I don't know the time, but it just seemed soooooo long!

A new change this past weekend is that those staying at any of the 3 Disney resorts will be able to enter DCA 30 minutes before the general public....so at rope drop the general public will be behind all resort guests.

Not sure how that will affect when they run out of FP, that is still to be seen as I've not yet seen any reports.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like 11:15 is much less crowded, even though it may be a little less organized.

:scared1: We all want to see it, but we don't want to spend half our morning in line. I hope the line moves quickly!

Thanks for the info! It will be interesting to see what effect this has.

Am I understanding this correctly? For a 10:00 opening, the turnstiles open at 9:30 and everyone can go to the rope and wait until 10:00 and then go to the GRR FP machine to get a WOC FP. Unless you are staying at DLR hotel, then you can enter via the GC at 9:00 to wait at a seperate rope drop or perhaps at the FP machine itself to get in line for the 10:00 release of the WOC FP?

I went last week and showed up at 9:30 and the line to go into CA was opened already. I headed to the WOC FP line and waited maybe 25 mins or so and got the yellow section pass which were great. Someone mentioned the hotel let the ppl in at 9 and the reg ppl waiting in front got in at 9:30, at least that was the case this past Saturday when I went.

They've actually been doing that all along, they just had not announced it as an official perk for staying onsite until now.

Thanks for all of the info, everyone!
It sounds like I should expect to wait for an hour, but it might be less if I'm lucky.

We're headed out tomorrow and will try to see WoC on Thursday, so I'll let you know about my experience!
