Wait times for Fantasmic in May

We're going to be travelling with another family in May and in the past we have gotten the Fantasmic dinner package as a way to aviod the lines/wait for Fantasmic. When we were there in January wew didn't bother with the package since the crowds were so low and basically walked right in with no wait. What I am finding now is that the reservation times for the package are for early to mid afternoon and that they will have to split our group up. SO, my question is what are the lines like mid may (16th?) and will it be worth it to get the package this time around? I know that things may be a little off with the celebration at the beginning of the month and Star Wars weekends starting at the end of that week, but yourpast experiences would be helpful.

I'm going on May 16!!! I have a 4PM and trying to wait until next week to see if they open up later times. We'll be there the same day! I've heard 30 days before they open up more times. Others in May have had luck switching times so I'm hoping for the same. I called Disney and they told me to call back about 30 days before.

They also told me that they usually only offer early times at first. Then 30 days in advance they said they open more times. I think it had something to do with demand for fantasmic Dinner or if there were open PS times.

We are going the same week. We could not get a dinner package so the CM told us to start calling back on 4-15. We were hoping to get it for 5-15.

They definitely opened up more times for the 1st and 2nd week of May. I called 29 days out for my date and I switched my 4:10 to 5:50.

We were there last week and we used the Fantasmic dinner package. I made our original PS about 6 weeks before our trip and had a 4:30 dinner that we had to split our group for. About 2 weeks before our trip I changed our itinerary and so we had to do MGM on a different day. I called to change our PS and got a 5:50 with all of us together.

Definitely try again as you get closer to your date. Have a great time! ::MickeyMo
