We are considering a summer trip. probably June or August. Do you have to wait a long time in lines this time of year? My husband hates waiting in line. We have done Disney in September in the past and the parks were not very croweded. Only had to stand in line maybe 15 min for most things. We don't want to pull the kids out of school this year to go so thought maybe we would try universal instead. ANy help would be appreciated!!

my advice, then is to stay onsite, go early and you will not see hardly any lines.

agree with above poster....& my DH is the same as yours....hates WAIT Disney World

He doesn't mind spending the money to stay onsite where you can ride what you want when you want...almost NO wait! (Staying onsite is highly recommended by us if going in peak times) :thumbsup2

::yes::

Here's a breakdown of average wait times for select rides:

IOA

Spider-Man - In between 75-80 minutes. I have seen it upwards of a 100 minute wait though during the summer season.
Incredible Hulk - 50-120 minutes.
Dr. Doom's Fear Fall - 45-75 minutes.
Dueling Dragons - 50- 100 minutes.
Jurassic Park River Adventure - 75-100 minutes.
Cat in the Hat - 30-60 minutes.

USF

Shrek 4-D - 45-75 minutes.
Jimmy Neutron - 30-90 minutes.
Twister - 10-30 minutes.
Revenge of the Mummy - 45-120 minutes.
JAWS - 45-75 minutes.
Men in Black - 45-120 minutes.
The E.T. Adventure - 45-60 minutes.

I did not include Disaster! as it just opened.

We were there last August and stayed off-site. I found the lines really didn't start getting long (ie less then 20 min) until about noon. We got there for when the parks opened in the morning and left between 1-2 pm. Not only was it getting really hot by then, the lines for the more popular rides were well over an hour long. If you get there at opening most all the rides are walk on. My kids rode the Mummy I don't know how many times first thing in the morning with no wait.

Like everyone has said so far stay onsite:thumbsup2 . but, if you can't then just get to the parks early and do all the big rides first. and the wait times just depends on the time of day
