Wait time apps

I'm curious about other's experiences too!

A year & a half ago, I used the Undercover Tourist app and it was roughly 75% accurate during EEMH at MK. It didn't seem to work as well at AK the next day though.

I find the most accurate of the third-party apps in Touring Plans. That being said, it was not worth the price. I also have used UT and although it worked fine, there were several instances when it didn't deliver the correct information. Personally, nothing beats Mobile Magic though.

We have already downloaded the Wait Time app, but have not been to WDW yet this year. However, based on knowledge about the rides from our many past visits, the app seems to be pretty accurate. :)

We were there in April and we used Mobile Magic. It was very accurate and made walking around the parks at a busy time (Easter) much more enjoyable.

I have used the Lines app from Touring Plan Guide and find it accurate and very easy to use, they have recently done some upgrading that should make it even more accurate. (about $12 a year)
I got a smart phone recently and was able to download Mobile Magic, I'm hoping between the two apps I should be good to go and have a trip with lots of short lines and fun times.

I used mobile magic and found it to be accurate for both stand by and fast time information.

We've used the free wait times app our last 2 trips and both times it was very accurate.

Not worth the price? The crowd calendars, the touring plans, menus AND the lines app?????????

I don't have a smart phone but the kiddos do. What is the "free app" and how do we get it? I know - it's time for me to enter the 21st century!:lmao:

^^^^Undercover Tourists has a free app.

But I love my LINE Apps. Have used it the last few years and always found it to be accurate.

I'm using the app listed on the park brochures on my iphone -- Disney mobile magic. The app description says that Verizon customers get enhanced features. I'm using AT&T so I have the basic app and it's pretty good.

Mobile Magic and Undercover Tourist are great, but if you are strictly looking for wait times, I downloaded one that is called Disney World Wait Times (how very original...). Very easy to use and accurate, too. :)

Sounds simple enough ;) Which one? There's a few - Punware Inc. has two apps (one $3.99 and one free) under this name, and VersaEdge Software, LLC also has two (one $.99 and one free). All four are called "Disney World Wait Times."

Question...when I go to the app store and type in Disney mobile magic...I get ' Disney World Magic Guide' for 4.99 or 'Disney world maps free'

???

I use an iPad not an iPhone...is that only am iPhone app?

The one on ours was "Disney Mobile Magic" powered by Verizon. Might just be an iphone app.

:thumbsup2 thanks for the tip!

It is my understanding that mobile magic only gives you wait times and fast pass information for the park where you are (which is great, of course).

Which apps give you that info for where you are going? I would like to be able plan while hopping. (which rides are busy, which are going to run out of fastpass first, etc.) Good things to know before you arrive.

I would check out the 'lines' app for touringplans. I am 6mo away from my trip and find myself checking wait times all the time (my disney fix) plus the crowd calendars make this a app well worth the money.

Verizons Mobile Magic seems to be for any smart phone (free) and is a great app. Can't check wait times from home but I hear it's great in the parks. From home there are some fun games to play and you can check other park/resort/dining info (maps and menus). Hey it's free

I have both the above apps and would not be able to choose between them, but if I had to it would be Lines.
