Wait list

Am new to DVC and the answer may be in front of me but I thought I would ask here as well.
If I wanted to be put on a wait list for a particular resort can I book another at the same time incase the wait is not granted? If the request is granted do I cancel as I normally would?

You can make a reservation for another resort, then when you waitlist for the same days, if the waitlist comes through the original stay is cancelled. There may be other options to keep both, but you would need enough points to have both and I have only done it the way I describe.
