Wait List Question

Does anyone know if they compare wait lists for two different resort and swap reservations. For example, if person A was booked at BWV and wanted AKL and person B was booked at AKL and wanted BWV for the same days will they swap out the waitlist. If not, it seems like many owners would be locked into their home resort unnecessarily.

It is my understanding that this is NOT the way it works. Sad because at any given time there are probably multiple examples where simply swapping reservations would make 2 parties happy.

This idea pops up here every so often. The places on the waitlist should determine who gets what, not what you have booked, imho.

If it were possible to do, I think it would be unlikely to affect other people's waitlist because under the current system no inventory is freed up because owners keep their original reservation at their home resort.
