Wait list OKW

Does anyone know if wait lists for OKW ever come through. I need a one bedroom or studio for the 14th and 15th of December. Any advice is appreciated.

Waitlists often come through for OKW as it is one of the larger DVC properties. Unfortunately you are looking for dates that in prime season. December often books up well in advance. The first two weeks are Adventure Season (lowest points-per-night of the year) and the last two weeks are prime holiday vacation time. I think you'll have a tough time getting this one. Sorry.

I was afraid of that Everything is crossed........ they do have rooms open for rent, but they are 200-400 per night. Bummer they won't use them for members!

Actually, those rooms have likely already been used for members. The members exchanged those points to use for a cruise or stays at non-DVC resorts, and they were deposited in CRO as "payment" for those uses. Now it's CRO's turn to recoup that cost by renting out those rooms for cash.

That all make sense to me now I am new to DVC so I did not know that.

As you get closer to check in time, 25% discounts on the cash rate through DVC (if these are available through DVC) might become available.
