wait list now for beach club is

wait list for beach club is 45 at present. How many months does it usually take for dvc to get thru this amount based on past history, anyone gotten beach club points and how long did you wait?

We just bought at BCV. We bought 200 points with a December UY and had to wait 3 months for our points. Our guide told us it could take as long as 9 months for our points to come through.

I waited 11 months 12 days for my add on...but I dont even remember it now!!

I think it depends on the UY you want and how many points you need. At this point, I would say just buy resale and avoid the wait. It will be less expensive in the long run and since you won't get your points for a while either way, you might as well just try to save a little money! katherine

I've done 4 add-ons at BCV with my March UY, and for three of them the points were immediately available with no waiting. My last BCV add-on was back on 2/6/08, and I didn't have to wait. The one time I had to wait, it was just a little over 3 weeks.

It all depends on your UY. DVC may have points in some UYs but not in others.

It could depend on where you live. We were ready to do a new 160 point contract for BCV with March UY (since we were finding our Sept. UY impossible to get) , but we live in CA and the building the BCV points were assigned to wasn't registered for sale in CA. In fact, I think there is only one BCV building available for sale in CA. So even though the points were available, and we were willing to purchase them, Disney couldn't sell them to us.
