Wait List Joy!

When I booked my June trip at the 7 month mark I could only get the last three days in a 2 bedroom value at AKV. I booked two studios for the first four days and waitlisted for all the days in a 2 bed value. Happy, happy, joy, joy I looked online today and my waitlist came through! So many more points but I think we will enjoy the vacation much more now! So thank you to whoever had to cancel and I hope it was because you got what you wanted and not something terrible.

On 1/19/2010, DVD made a new declaration of AKV Units for the DVC membership, which was recorded on the Orange County Comptroller's website today. See http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=35157648&postcount=127. The new declaration brings 20 more two-bedroom villas into the DVC membership inventory. Perhaps your waitlist came through because DVC members now have access to more AKV villas!

Our waitlist came through last night as well.

I had almost given up on DS2's b'day trip when I found out it was Food & Wine.
But surprise, surprise we managed to get a standard view room Nov. 7-10. (Been on waitlist for 3 weeks.)

With all this pixie dust flying around, I figured I'd go look and see if my waitlist came through as well. But alas, nothing yet. Perhaps at the 30 day mark something will free up.

Interesting! My waitlist for a dedicated 2 BR (as opposed to lockoff) in late June came through about that time. The kids are thrilled to have their own queen beds!

Just wondering how did you check online to see if your waitlist came through? I'm obviously missing something, mine is not showing up or I'm looking in the wrong area. I checked vacation details

That's where you'd see it. If you got it, it would change to the new reservation. Other than that, it's not listed anywhere.
