Wait List For January

I have a wait list for BLT January 17-19 (3 nights)... anyone here have experience with BLT waitlist that time of year? My two requests are for studio Lake view or standard. Chances of it coming through?
I had Beach Club waitlisted last year for December and it came through after just a few weeks... wondering about BLT, however. I'm thinking i have a decent chance. I put it in about 2 weeks after the 7-M window.

I'm waitlisted for January too. I've got 2 waitlist for BWV-standard studio. I'm at OKW for 10 nights and wanted to do a split, so I waitlisted for the first 5 nights and for the last 5 nights hoping one side or the other will come through. I've been waitlisted since the first day that the 7 month window openned and nothing. It's been over a month now and I don't think either will come through. I've managed to get the BWV standard studio at the 7 month window during busier times, like this past May, so was a little surprised I didn't get it, even early on when my WL started. I love OKW, but thought I would mix it up a little. Whether mine come through or not, it's all good. I booked at the 7 month window because I have all of my BWV points spoken for this year......F&W!

OP, good luck on your waitlist. Hopefully you have a backup plan? Personally I think your LV is possible.

I have a BLT lake view studio for January 14-21 that I got at 7 months sounds like I'm very lucky to have gotten it from reading the boards. I wish you luck with your WL.

Not getting BWV is a little odd... i was a couple weeks late in my request and got my last 4 nights there. We were going to spend the full 7 nights at OKW because it's just so relaxing there... but with the changes they've made, i'm assuming more will be coming. We want to stay at all the resorts so we know where to buy our next resale points... so we switched the last 4 nights to BWV.

When we did BLT a couple years ago, I called the morning of 7-month window and got a lake view studio for 8 nights. Standard and MK views were both gone. I called back a couple hours later to make a change and everything was gone.
Not a fan of the "craftsmanship" of BLT and have ruled out buying there... we're taking advantage of being able to stay there until we can't. Our next purchase will most likely be OKW, BCV or BWV (if we like it).

First of all... Jan 17-19 was not my dates (it's my first 3 nights of OBX in August... lol). They were Jan 24-26 for Disney.... so read on...

Reading these boards daily was getting me a little frustrated about having to waitlist BLT in January... so i got out my calculator and started running numbers on other resorts... with information in hand, i dialed up MS to (cross my fingers) get BLT on the back end of my trip or BCV on the front end. So the conversation starts out...

MS: "Yes... Mr X, I see you have a wait list at BLT for OCTOBER 24-27"
ME: "WHAT? HUH? ahh, as you can SEE, my reservation is for Jan 24-31, so why would i have a waitlist for OCTOBER?"
MS: "You're right, that doesn't make any sense. Let me see. Ok... Lake View at BLT is available all 3 nights... and the fourth night too if you want that as well."
ME: "HELL YEAH!" (didn't really say that but wanted to)

LOVE IT!

NEVER would have thought i'd get BLT at ANY time of the year a full month after the 7-month window opens up.

Now i have to change my sig to show BLT/BWV!

we had a waitlist for new year's eve at BLT...that came thru in about 2 weeks....so far we are 1 for 3 on waitlists.

I just gave up my LV studio at BLT to change to a 1 bedroom at AKL. It was for January 14-21 so you might want to call member services.
