Wait list for buying BWV, September UY

I had recently bought 160 SSR points for Sept UY and have been on the wait list for BWV, both through Disney because I will receive all of last years points for BWV just like SSR. My guide is confident that this will come through, but it's been over 2 months and so far nothing. Anyone else encounter something similar. Will Disney use ROFR when people are on a wait list? Thanks for any replies

We just found out (5/11) that Disney passed on our contract. We are selling 200 BWV points @$79 with a September UY.

I'm a BWV owner and recently contacted my guide about an add on. According to my guide ( I have a June UY ) I would NOT have been able to get 07 points when I waitlisted.

I'm not sure ( and I don't think anyone is ) how Disney goes about ROFRing contracts but there are lots of folks on this board waiting for BCV points and have been waiting for a loooong time. Yet, resales pass ROFR every day.

Thanks for the replies. I think the reason that I would get the 2007 points is because I am planning on buying 160.... at least that was my understanding. I don't understand why Disney wouldn't try and accomodate those who are waitlisted, but I guess there must be a reason. Good luck to everyone in getting their points soon.

We just received word today that Disney approved our resale purchase of 150 BWV points for Sep U/Y. Resale was $20 pp less than what our guide quoted us, so we decided to try out resale for this add-on and it worked

I'd be definitely be looking at resale for BWV. Any advantage in getting 2007 points and closing costs will be offset by the difference in price.

I think that I may have to do that..... all the BWV with Sept UY for sale on TSS are at least 200 points...... just wondering (and I'm sure that answer is no ) can you just buy a part of them, say 160, or do you have to buy them all?

You can't split up contracts. If I were you, since you knowwhat you want, I'd call the resaler and get on a waitlist for exactly what I wanted. They will call you when they get a contract that fits what you're looking for.

Look at the total price, though. If you can get a good enough deal and negotiate closing costs, you may be able to buy more points via resale for the same price you would have paid to buy through Dis. I haven't paid closing costs on a contract yet.
