Wait List - do you usually have luck?

im in a situation where im thinking of waitlisting for the beach club 2 bedroom in sept....all 6 nights are free but one is not.

do you usually have luck getting what you want on a waitlist? how long can it take? have you ever cut it close?

I've had good luck in the past. I've had one come through in under 24 hours, sometimes they come down to the wire. If you want you can ask to stay on the waitlist until 7 days prior to arrival (normally they drop off 30 days prior). Personally, I'd book what you can now, grab a night someplace else for the missing one, and waitlist your missing night ASAP. Worst case scenario- If it doesn't come through do a split stay...

We were waitlisted for a studio in October for a Friday night. Got the confirmation 2 days ago!

I have not had waitlist requests come through very often - especially at the Beach Club (our home resort). Sometimes we make a late decision to go to WDW and we are outside our 11 month window.

I do think your chances are much improved by only needing one day.

I've been told they have an 85% fulfill rate on waitlists...I'm batting a big goose egg, though.

I have good luck, but I wouldn't chance it by not booking something else for the night. I certainly would take the 6 nights available and waitlist for the one I need.

I think you have a fair shot at getting the one night you need by going on the waitlist. I was waitlisted for a AKV Kidani 1 bedroom standard villa for May 28 to June 4 and it came through for us last Saturday. We were on the waitlist for a little over a month when it came through. We had ressies for OKW as an alternative if the waitlist did not happen. I was pleasantly surprised when it did come through because with the timing of our trip and time growing short, I didn't really think it would happen so I was pretty much resigned to our ressies at OKW. Pixiedust reigns! I hope it sprinkles down on you too!

After 7 years, I'm on my first waitlist this October. I had to ask how the process worked when I made the request. I'm not fond of room changes so it's for 4 nights but I already have a room booked. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as one of the places I waitlisted for had all nights but one.

DW don't know yet We are wait listed for If all goes well, a 1Br SV CL at Jambo If we don't will still have 4 days at AKV with a 1Br SV.
