Wait List Chances?

We're wait-listed for a Grand Villa at OKW during the week after Thanksgiving. Do we stand a chance of getting it? If I call MS, will they be able to tell me how far down on the wait list we are?

My guess would be slim to no chance unless someone cancels. That week is VERY popular and GVs are highly sought after. Just my opinion, though.

Just wanted to add that MS can't tell you how far you are on the waitlist.

Where is your home resort, do you have reservations there as a back up? Especially important if you are flying and have plane tickets already.

I had a few of the same days waitlisted last year at OKW for a GV. We got it for Thanksgiving week but wanted to stay longer. The waitlist never came up and we moved to smaller accomodations that I had booked as back up. Now with that being said, I just got a waitlist for Memorial Weekend that I went on 3 days ago!! My waitlist experience is running 98% and I use it alot. Only the GV, once, didn 't work. I did get a GV with a waitlist in the fall once. so you never know. Just have back up andyou will be fine and hopefully pleasantly surprised!

OKW is our home resort, and we have 2 2bdrm ressies as a backup, so we'll be fine. I'm just gonna keep on hoping and you never know what might happen!

Two years ago we waitlisted for a GV at OKW for the first week in December for five nights and the waitlist came through the last week in October. You never know, it might come through for you too.

Glad to hear you have a solid back up plan. Just remember that a GV is less points than 2 2 BR units, so if the wait list does work out you will have some 'extra' points. Watch for the 31 day canceling window and your banking window if you need to save those point to another year.

I waitlist every summer for a GV, never got all the days, just a day here and a day there. This year they actually had availability, but I didn't have any points--boo hoo
