Wait List came through but showing as 2 reservations

Our wait list just came through for a 5 night stay at OKW in October.

However, on the DVC site it is showing up as 2 reservations one for 3 nights and one for 2 nights. The reason I requested the wait list was to avoid a mid-stay move.

Since we have two reservation numbers does that mean that we may be asked to change rooms at OKW during our stay? If we don't have to move rooms will we have to go back and check in again?

If they are for the exact same room categories, the reservations will be linked and treated as one stay by the resort.

I would call ms and ask them to link the ressies

We had the same thing happen for our recent August trip. 4 days on 1 ressie and 1 day on another, due to a waitlist coming through.

We did not have to change rooms.
We DID have to go down to guest services after the 1st ressie was over and get new key to the world cards. Any credits left on our dining plan were carried over to the new cards.

Hope this helps!

Yup we had like 4 reservation numbers on our last trip. They were supposed to be linked (so said MS) but the hotel told us something different. We did have to check out and in for the first one but the hotel fixed it for the rest for us.

I agree - we had a waitlist in the middle of our trip, although it was all under 1 reservation # I *think*, but we still had to go to the desk 2 extra times during our stay and get new key cards (we didn't have dining or any other reason for segmenting the reservation other than the waitlist coming through).
