So I have 177 points that will be expiring the end of November so we are planning a trip for mid November. We want to stay in a 2 bedroom at BLT but we would need to be placed on a wait list since the first two days we want aren't available. So we will book a stay at AKV for now. So I'll be using the expiring points towards the AKL reservations. If BLT becomes available will they use the 177 expiring points that was used towards AKV of will they take the points that remain in the account? Can the 177 points be switched if BLT becomes available??

When you create your waitlist, you should be able to check a box telling them to cancel an existing reservation and use those points towards the new one if the waitlist comes through.

Yes, if you want them to cancel your existing AKV reservation and replace it with the BLT reservation, they will do that and use all the banked points up first. If you need more, then they will pull either current UY points or borrow (if you check the box to allow borrowing).

Thanks!! K follow up question. So I've seen I can possible book a whole stay starting tomorrow for BLT. I have 100 expiring points in one contract and 77 in the other. If I am able to book BLT at 8:00am online and they use all points from the one contract can I call later in the day when member services open and have them switch out some of the points used from the contract with the 100 expiring points for the 77 in the other contract??

If they are the same UY and under the same login, you can tell the online system to use the 77pts first then the 100 points.
