Wait list and dining plan question

We have 5 nights booked at BLT. I am thinking about doing a WL and adding a night to the beginning of our trip. If my WL comes through, how will that affect the number of dining plan days? Will I then owe the difference?
I haven't paid for the dining plan yet, so if I paid for it right now, I would be paying for 5 days worth. If my trip turns into a 6 night stay, will they say I owe more money? That is fine, I just don't know how it works.

Also, does that mean we would have to change rooms, or will they automatically link the two reservations?

If the villa is the same resort, same size and same category, it would be a continuation of your reservation and you would owe more money. And then you should not have to change villas. But if it were different in any way from your current reservation, you would have to change and it would be a separate reservation.
