I’ve never used Lyft but thought it would be cool to treat the ‘grands. How early can I book an accessible Minnie van or is it only “day of”? If it’s only day of booking, we have a 7:45 am breakfast at the Poly (another surprise for the kids) so what time should I request the van?

MVs start at 6:30am. I would request no later than 6:45am. Always have a backup plan (and time to execute it) if requiring an accessible one as there are only a couple available.

You book in the app like a normal Lyft but scroll to the MV Accessible option when you select your car type. No pre-scheduling allowed. If you open the app and type in like you’re going now you’ll see how the booking works and costs. MV costs are on distance, no surge pricing so that’s nice!

I used a Minnie van last July for three people. I needed an accessible one for my scooter. The wait was only about 8-10 minutes each way and the drivers were fantastic. (We went out around 2:00 and came back around 5:00 — we had some spa time.)

I had never used Lyft before but the process was straightforward, so I didn’t have any issues.

It was definitely cool for our group! The 12-year-old really loved it! 😊

We had an early morning ADRs at Ohana and Kona (like 7:40). We had a good 20-30 minute wait, which is why I booked it like at 6:45am. I knew it would be harder in the morning plus needing time to allow to load the scooter. We made our ADRs with plenty of time.
