Hello fellow DISers! :wave2:

I did a search for it but couldn't find much of anything to really answer my question..

I made an ADR for breakfast at Boma for an upcoming September trip. It will be the 1st time I'm trying breakfast there after having good experiences with dinner in the past.

I am wondering how much time I should budget for an 8AM ADR on a weekday? I am trying to plan my FP's for the day so any suggestions/past experiences would be helpful! Is there typically a wait around this time in the morning on a weekday before you're seated? I am hoping it won't be too long since it is going to be during a slower month.

TIA! :)

Boma for breakfast didn't seem particularly better or worse than any other dining location, so I would guess you'll be seated somewhere between 5 to 15 minutes after you check-in. It is a buffet, so you can eat as fast or slowly as you like, but I would allow between 45 and 60 minutes for breakfast. After that, the general rule of thumb is to allow about 45 minutes to get to a park. All around, I would probably aim to make my first FP for no earlier than 10:00 am.

Thanks! I should've mentioned that I plan to begin my day at AK that morning since it only makes sense after eating at Boma. I've taken the bus from AK to AKL for dinner at Boma before a couple years back & it was a super quick trip (I wanna say around 10 minutes if my memory serves me correctly, including the very short wait time).

If you are going to AK then you only need to budget about 10 min for to park transportation. Depending on where in the park you want your first FP give yourself another 15-30 minutes to get there.

I would guess if you have an 8am ADR at Boma then you should be finished by 9am unless you are vary slow or large eaters. If you want to be able to leave a little faster you can always ask for your bill after your drinks are delivered and pay it when you are ready instead of asking for it at the end of the meal.

I would guess that making FP for a starting time of 9:45-10am should be fine. I probably would not have them start any earlier than that if it was me.

Im sure youll be done sooner that an hour, as there are no characters. Make the FP for the 9 - 10 spot and youll be fine.

Also, I just made an ADR for 3 weeks from now for 8:30am. There are plenty of times available for me to choose from, even during free dining. Im sure it wont be too busy :)
